Maruti launched the Ignis earlier this year to cater to the millennials. Their objective behind the car was very clear. They wanted a funky little car that would stand out and one that wasn’t like the mundane hatchbacks. There are a total of 13 variants to choose from on the Ignis. Here are 5 types of Ignis for 5 different types of people.

The main USP of the Alpha variant has to be the LED DRLs and the LED headlamps, along with the cool looking climate control module. This is addition to the ease of having to only use one foot while driving.

The Ignis is one of the few cars that is offered with a diesel and petrol automatic option. Those who use their cars only in the city would be better off with a petrol AMT. The petrol engine is refined, is economical  (20.89 kmpl) and is adequately fun to drive. Since this AMT has the creep function, it is also easy to drive in traffic. Pricing for the AMT starts at Rs 5.72 lakhs while the newly launched top end AMT is priced at Rs 7.07 lakhs.

In addition to that, the vehicle has a strong mid range which means that gear changes are less on the highway. The 180 mm ground clearance is an added benefit out on the highways where the road conditions aren’t always good.
