well not yet launched just showcased at delhi auto expo …. technically, at present scenario, its price less …
yup its true, but viscosity grading is still a mystery … will be solved soon it hits the market ….
A repainted surface requires rubbing. It is always rough and becomes smooth after the rubbing is done. Normally, the painters do this on their own; its the final stage of the painting process. Seems it was not done on your friend’s car.
well if he is ready to redo it, use sand paper to smoothen the surface, use waxing machine to wipe it off, smoothen it and then repaint it, … or else try clay bar … you can get this done in body shops, xtra premium outlets, renowned petrol bunks,,, it could cost you around 500/- …
I guess you should just take the car back to the body shop who worked upon it. If they have not done it on their own, they ought to do it for no extra cost. What is mentioned above(sandpaper, clay bar, rubbing compound) is precisely what I am talking about.
yup, should take back to the shop, these methods requires skills, or you probably will mess it up…
How long are you willing to keep the car under repairs? If a week is acceptable, get this done under warranty by the showroom guys. If you cant spare the car for more than a couple of days, visit an expert denter. Assuming a full fender dent-paint, it will cost around 3k.
sir car was standing outside my office. and when i left my office i found this…..right fender is completely damaged with 10mm hole on it.. i think it will have to be replaced with new one…. and how can damage be covered under warranty???
well fender damage means bumper damage, as its all plastic or fibre, you would have to replace it …. bumper will cost you around 3k excluding, fog lamps, head lights, or any damage…. opt for insurance, well its a month process, but could save you easily 3 to 4 k … only 30% of fibre cost the insurance company offers i guess… get it…[Read more]
Sorry, I meant insurance. Bumper damage is the catch here, It being a plastic part will cost unless you have a zero depriciation insurance. If you do have it, then it become s no brainer. Give it to the showroom guys and get everything repaired under insurance for no cost.
i think bumper is not damaged…. thanks for the reply!!!
zero depreciation insuarance was not continued after 1st yar of ownership….. idon’t known why!!! now its normal policy….
you mean you got a 10 mm hole in metal sheet …
Thats a seven year old car. When was its radiator last flushed? Get the radiator flushed if the same has not been done during the last 12 months. Throw away the coolant as of now, and refill with just RO water. The radiator might have to be opened multiple times till the problem is solved, so no point spending money on coolant again and again. Add…[Read more]
I feel Tata Safari.
Safari has the best ride quality and the worst handling(one of the reason is its ladder frame chassis).I am not sure about the ford ecosport.Ertiga has a good ride quality but not compare able to the safari, its handling is ok it is not that great but not that bad too. While on the other hand duster will make you feel pretty confident when you…[Read more]
ride quality, the safari tops the chart followed by duster, ecosport and ertiga …. in handling duster stands out the best, … overall pick would be a duster, … ecosport is stylish, taller and the powerful one with ecoboost, but it ain’t that sturdy as the duster, … you planning to do nasty things, get the duster …. cheers !!!!
The Duster, Safari as well as the Ecosport have excellent ride quality. The Safari is the most comfortable vehicle though as it has the most space and the biggest and the most comfortable seats. As for handling, nothing comes close to the Ecosport. The Duster is pretty good in its own right but not even close to the Ford.
i don’t know why you always come up with the queries of the cars of different segment
decide what you want new vehicle or used vehicle, …. xylo h8 is solid pick … check the odo, service record, before grabbing a used one ….
If you want spacious MUV then go for mahindra xylo and if you want a solid rugged Suv and can sacrifice space for that matter go for the mahindra Scorpio.Buy a new mahindra vehicle or used vehicle it doesn’t matter a lot but don’t buy a Tata sumo grande, sumo grande is a bad choice.
i totally agree with @Ramkrishna
put a plastic protection film …. generally a car is already painted twice, the hard coat and clear coat, still at zones prone to more frictional activities like the door sills, sharpy edges of bonnet, A & C pillars, the paint peels off … get protection films for these areas, … remember with climate changes, you might notice bubbles, its…[Read more]
you can use somes waxes like collonite 845, meguiars wax etc….
for long drives both are comfortable in there own ways, …. ritz is punchier and aggressive, the power it offers is a better bet on performance and safety …. ritz is no doubt the better one, but its your desire to go for one, if budget constraints get the wagon r, if not get the power, as highways are different chapter, than city roads….…[Read more]
No RItz Vxi is far much better than wagon R in long drives.
actually Ritz is a higher segment vehicle when comparing with a wagon-r, it will definitely giv u a slightly premium feel… Ritz is powered by 1.2L K-Series Engine which is powerful & fuel efficient… so if budget is not a constrain, pick the Ritz out of two… Regards
Ritz VXi better than WagonR in all the aspects..
As Nithish has said. if budget is not a constraint, go with the Ritz
