Get the lights focussed, and that should improve things. As for the low-beam let it be as I think it is a HID (not sure), but you can upgrade the high-beam halogen bulb to a 100 watt one. If you want additional fog lamps, get a pair of Hella Rallye 4000 (Rs. 10,000 a pair I think) or LightForce lamps (Rs. 14,000) and mount them on the bumper or…[Read more]
I don’t think this is possible in the Nissan Sunny, because if I remember right, there is a cross-bar support behind the seat in the boot area. @anupam bhatnagar has a Sunny – he may be able to verify this.
You can upgrade your alternator – you just have to buy a new one from Lucas with the correct rating – you mean 90 AH right, not Watts. It can be done – but why do you want it? Are you putting in a bigger battery as well?
No, Mahindra may not launch diff locks in the Thar, but these are available in most 4×4 accessory shops, especially abroad – you can check for models from ARB, Locrite etc,. In India, you can get a mechanically locking differential from Eaton that will directly fit the rear diff of the Thar.
The Mahindra Quanto would be a bit rough if you’re used to a Wagon-R. I20 would be a logical upgrade, but the basic era variant does not have any equipment in it. There’s no lack of power as such in the Quanto’s engine – but the engine is not that refined. See our road test: http://www.cartoq.com/expertvoice/mahindra-quanto-video-review/

If you want a mid-size sedan with the best automatic transmission – it is the Ford Fiesta AT. It has a good six-speed dual clutch transmission, with hardly any maintenance needed on it. Second choice – Honda City automatic. And if you want to look a segment lower – look at the Honda Amaze automatic.
battery is the key to all this gizmos…. now when you turn on the engine your stereo pauses guess you would’ve noticed that, the engine start consumes almost 10% of battery charge, and try doing it around 8 times at random, and your battery is down, also the energy flow is affected, causing other electric failures,…. the conventional li- ion…[Read more]
Well, these are more of convenience features and not every buyer wants them. Adding them in cars adds significantly to the cost. I would rather see carmakers offering ABS, airbags, ESP and fog lamps as standard safety equipment in cars rather than adding to the gizmo list.

Mr.Gagan, Tata Safari Storme is a good buy… It is much improved when comparing with its predecessors in terms of drivability n handling, ride quality & has smoother gearshifts too… Also, safari is known for its commanding seating position, space & comforts it offers…doesn’t mind what people says, some are not satisfied with its design &…[Read more]
There’s nothing really bad with the Storme as a product – it is a huge improvement over the earlier Safari for sure. But, at that price point, it doesn’t come across as value for money. Sure you get a lot of space, it has good ride quality and comfort, but somehow one feels you are paying too much. And then there’s the issue of service – Tata…[Read more]
expected … but in indian market probably, over due to launch is a phenomena …. maybe next yr by this time …
Mahindra ruled out launching the Korando this year. I think they have their hands full at the moment. The Korando may appear in early 2014.
