Hi Danesh, not an expert; but i will like to suggest to look for Hyundai Santro as it falls on same price bracket as of Estilo, Alto 800 and Eon; and believe me u will not repent. Its very solidly built car with best available sitting space and boot space as well and its tried and trusted product.

Go with Diesel…If your monthly running above 1200 then go for diesel….In this range there are lot of sedans….Firstly Honda Amaze .if Hatchback surely i 20 more Spacious more features.More Premium look also will get Six Airbag, Sunroof in Option Pack

For usage less than 600 kms a month, petrol should be your choice. Total cost of ownership for a diesel vehicle will be much higher as it will be more expensive to buy, higher insurance, higher service costs & relatively much less savings on fuel expenses. There are many petrol sedans in 9 lakhs ex showroom budget, but less options if your budget…[Read more]

petrol..go for petrol as your running is less. do the math of price of vehicles , whether the investment is worth. etc. if you opt for petrol there are a lot of options to choos from.

I bought Swift DZire VXI on Sept'2011. At that time i thought that it will not be used as daily purpose. Now i travel in city ride about 55 kms per day. So,its getting difficult to cope up with the increasing of price of petrol. So,I am thinking to fit A CNG KIT. Now, my concern is that, 1.will it be really helpful? 2.How much power loss i have to consider? 3.What is the point i should keep in mi -- more --

You can go to the auth. dealer & ask for fitment of cng.
It canbe expensive to instaled from auth.dealer but your exisiting car warranty will exist from the dealer side otherwise it will get void if you installed from side since you still warranty on ypur car for 1 1/2 year.

          Diesel or Petrol ???

Diesel – Consider FIAT Linea multijet / Skoda Rapid
          Petrol – Honda City i-VTEC / FIAT Linea T-Jet

Fiat linea n honda city.. its always better to test drive and find the on road price for your city n then decide. I personally would go for the linea. Also consider ecosport if possible.

If petrol, then pick the Honda… Amaze petrol is equipped with 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which is being used by the brio, it offers good level of perfrmance & fuel-efficiency… Regards :)

Amaze for its reliable engine & (compact) sedan looks, rest its cost cutting to a new level that was not expected out of Honda. i20 has a relatively weaker petrol engine but that should not a deal breaker for an average buyer. It is a large hatch & Asta trim is loaded to the brim with features. I would take i20 over Amaze without second thoughts…[Read more]

Its called brake horsepower because of the experiment setup used to measure it. Its called the prony brake mechanism. An engine running at a particular rpm is make to stop by applying brake on it(a rope actuated drum brake is used). The braking force is calculated. This force is equal to the power being produced by the engine at that rpm. Hence the name.

Both are blowers that pump extra air into the engine. A supercharger is powered by the engine directly through the fan belt. You get boost from the word go but this is extra mechanical load on the engine, just like the AC. And unlike the AC, this cannot be switched off. A turbo is more like a windmill, powered by the exhaust coming out of the…[Read more]

The key difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger is its power supply. In a supercharger, there is a belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that the water pump or alternator does. A turbocharger, on the other hand, gets its power from the exhaust stream. The exhaust runs through a turbine, which in…[Read more]

Remember the old Merc petrols with the “Kompressor” monicker? Those were supercharged engines. Superchargers are going out of fashion these days. Nobody is willing to compromise economy even 1%, and and happy living with turbo lag.
