I would take the Yeti any given day. The Ertiga is a stretched Swift platform while the Duster is on the Logan, XUV is Mahinda’s first monocoque while the Xylo is a body roll champion in this list.

If boot is not the concern then surely you should go for Honda Brio.Or If you can stretch your budget then you can go for Amaze automatic. I10 is also there but I won’t recommend that to you for two reasons firstly is the less FE and secondly it’s a 4 gear automatic.

Hyundai and Maruti use very poor autoboxes, you can skip them without considering. Honda has a very reliable and well proven setup in the Brio as well as the Amaze. VW has a great package in the GT Tsi, but the gearbox has had lots of troubles in China. If I were to choose, it would be between the Brio and the Polo, mostly dependent on the budget…[Read more]

Hi, CNG will be the cheapest fuel option, on a per km basis as well as maintenance costs basis. The down side though is that a tankful will last about 200 kms and you will need to refill every two days. Usually there are crazy lines to fill CNG but if the availability of CNG where you intend to use the vehicle is just like other fuels, then this…[Read more]

Hi all ! i am planning to buy a car with good ground clearance, ride quality and features prefer mid-size SUVs but still i haven't got exactly what i want with right price range so i'm still waiting for new SUV type cars to come out in the Indian Market. If anyone can provide with confirmed launches this year like Nissan version of Duster or SUV based cars that would be really helpful.

I would go with the Swift (but only Swift ZXI, not the lower variants, because of poor brakes on the LXI and VXI). Its cheaper to maintain, has a nice revv-happy engine and is reasonable fuel-efficient for a petrol. It also rides okay and handles well even at higher speeds. Polo will only give me slightly better build quality at a higher…[Read more]

Hello friends, I bought a Sail Sedan a month ago. I was so happy to own it and drive it. But there are problems with the body like noises while driving. It is really a big headache to hear the noise from the right side of the dash board. I complained it on the very first day and the did this and that and sent me off. The noise further increased. Sad to hear that you are facing this rattling issue with the Sail sedan. What did the mechanics / service centre say the noise was? Did they take a test and also identify the noise? Is it something to do with the plastics on the dashboard? Since your car is under warranty and you probably have the maintenance package already from GM, it should…[Read more]
