Expected to be launched on March 28, the Tata Tiago hatchback (renamed from Tata Zica) will be positioned below the Tata Bolt. Bookings for the vehicle have begun already against a deposit of Rs 11,000, reports Indian Autos Blog.
The Indica replacement will be manufactured (in fact, production is reported to have begun already) at the company’s plant in Sanand, Gujarat. Engine options will include a 1.05-liter diesel unit and a 1.2-liter petrol (naturally aspirated) unit. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard affair while an AMT is also expected at a later stage.
Showcased first at the 2016 Auto Expo and then at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Tiago is also reported to have started reaching dealerships already.
