What’s exciting: Tata’s first sub 4m suv, 1.5 liter diesel with 108 Bhp & 260 Nm

The Nexon will be Tata’s first sub 4m SUV to take on the newly launched Vitara Brezza & the Ford Ecosport. The Nexon will get projector head lamps with DRL’s, LED tail lamps & 16’ alloys. Ground clearance will be 200mm. The Nexon will have 2 powertrain options on offer, a 1.2 liter petrol & an all-new 1.5 liter diesel ( 108 Bhp & 260 Nm). The diesel will be offered with a 6 speed manual gearbox. On the inside, Tata will offer a 6.5” touch screen infotainment system which will be coupled to an 8 speaker Harmon sound system.

Tata Sport

What’s exciting: 108 Bhp & 170 Nm

The Sport will be Tata’s Baleno RS & Polo GT rival. Powering it is the 1.2 liter turbo petrol which is presently available on the normal Bolt. However the ECU has been remapped to produce 108 Bhp & 170 Nm. Visually too, the Sport stands out with its aerodynamic body kit which includes a new front & rear bumper as well as larger alloys.

Tata Hexa

What’s exciting: Spacious, equipment level, 154 Bhp & 400 Nm

The Hexa will be the replacement for the Aria & will take on the XUV500. Powering the Hexa will be the same 2.2 liter Varicor unit available in the Safari making 154 Bhp & 400 Nm. The engine will be mated to either a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed auto box. A 4wd system with driving modes will also be on offer. In the looks department, the Hexa gets smoked headlamps with DRL’s & LED tail lamps. On the inside you have ambient lighting as well as a 5” touch screen infotainment system.

Isuzu D-max V Cross

What’s exciting: Premium pick-up truck, 134 Bhp & 320 Nm

The Isuzu D-Max has been on sale in the country for a while now. Unfortunately, it could only be registered as a commercial vehicle which meant that it would have to bear a yellow number plate. However, with the V Cross, Isuzu plans to change that. The V Cross will be a premium pick-up, priced around the 15 lakh mark. Power comes from a 2.5 liter CRDi engine making 134 Bhp & 320 Nm. It will offer shift on fly 4wd system. On the features front, dual airbags, ABS & EBD, climate control, 7” touch screen system & steering mounted audio controls will be standard.

Maruti Brezza Boosterjet

What’s exciting: Petrol Vitara, 110 Bhp & 170 Nm

Having only launched the Vitara Brezza in a diesel version, Maruti has confirmed that a petrol engine is under development and shall be coming soon. The engine in question is the 1.0 liter Boosterjet which will make its debut in the Baleno RS. Power will be 110 Bhp & 170 Nm. The Brezza, though only in diesel right now, is already selling like hot cakes. This will certainly make it more attractive.
