Delphi displays navigation, safety products

Navigation and safety products will occupy an important space at the 2008 Auto Expo at Pragati Maidan. Prominent among the companies who will put on show their products will be US automotive components behemoth Delphi Corporation.

The US major will be lining up on the expo racks many an innovative product this time around. The company will showcase its dual view GPS navigation system, advanced engine management systems for cars and two-wheelers, gasoline direct injection (GDI) systems, compact flex zone HVAC module, alternate refrigerant solutions, waferised joint connectors for smaller, more efficient electrical and electronic architecture and ultra-thin wall halogen-free light weight cables.

These apart, the company pavilion will also boast of packaged battery monitors for better electronics and lower fuel consumption, data connectivity hubs for multiple consumer interfaces, innovative products for better interior aesthetics, enhanced vehicle security, consumer safety, and accident prevention products.

Delphi India plans to significantly expand its product portfolio, enhance the capacity of its chosen facilities and introduce new product lines and consumer oriented electronics products to support customers in India and improve its competitiveness.

Delphi Corp is aiming at a growth in business and is planning to rationalize and expand its product portfolio, product and applications engineering and manufacturing capability. The Auto Expo will be the perfect platform for the company to showcase a new comprehensive technology portfolio relevant for the India market.

The company’s electronics and safety division will put on show its new navigation systems range, which boasts of an integrated dual-view display that enables front seat passenger to watch videos, but won’t let the driver view them. Besides, the touch-sensitive instruction panel that displays images and controls to the driver and the front-seat passenger will also be on show. Delphi’s Active Safety products will be another attraction.
