No plans for a diesel engine for the Jazz until 2014. In terms of overall space, power and handling if you compare the petrol variants the Jazz is better. However, if you want a car with plenty of features,the i20 has it all.

Reports have suggested that diesels will first make their way in the City and Civic with the Jazz following suit only later.

The question really is, is the Ertiga’s space enough for you. It is smaller than Evalia and Enjoy. Think about it as a large car with two additional seats. Others will have, overall, more space. I agree with Mathew. If you can live with the space the Ertiga offers, go ahead. It should be a better vehicle to drive and significantly more fuel efficient than the Evalia, Enjoy and even the good old Innova

Take a test drive, get a feel for the car and see if the space inside suits you. It’ll be much more like a car compared to the Evalia and Enjoy.

Overall value and practicality, the Honda Jazz. It has a better engine and drives better and is more spacious than the i20. However, the i20 offers more features variant for variant and has a larger service network. Also Jazz still has production constraints, so easy availability may be an issue.

Here it becomes a very personal decision. They are very close to each other, so I think you should drive both to find out which one feels right to you. I personally would prefer the Jazz – Honda cars and engines are super reliable, and I prefer its looks to the i20. It also has a bit more space inside than the i20.
