Baleno has now been discontinued for nearly 5 years. Very soon parts availability for Baleno and then for Esteem too will become an issue. Of the cars in your list, only the Accent is still a current car, while Ikon, Esteem and Baleno have been discontinued. Theoretically, parts for the Accent should be more easily accessible.
The Accent is the best choice out of the cars you have suggested as it is still in production, like Roshun pointed out.
Accent is the safe choice here. It will be no fun running around from service center to service center trying to locate some crucial part. I would have suggested Baleno otherwise.
Wobbling is mainly due to unbalanced tires. First get your tires aligned and balanced from a good tire shop with modern equipment. Ask them to specifically check the caster as well and get it corrected if required. They will thoroughly check your suspension before doing the alignment and will tell you if anything is wrong. If that does not yield…[Read more]
The wobbly feel you are getting can be caused by something as simple as difference in tyre pressure or lack of wheel balancing. However in your case it seems to be something much more severe. If your mechanic has already told you that its the front shocker then you must get it checked as soon as possible.
Agree with Shreyans. Just a normal wheel alignment and wheel balancing sometimes isn’t enough. Most alignment shops just check the “toe-in” of the wheel alignment and let it be. For a thorough alignment you also need to check “Caster” and “Camber”. Ask for this specifically. Before you do that, if you inspect the shocks and find them to be weak…[Read more]
Fitting a CNG kit into the Honda City will kill its performance and driving pleasure. You are probably better off keeping and converting the Accent to CNG if you want. Honda City is best run on petrol, the engine does not take too kindly to CNG in the long term.
It can be done, but Honda does not recommend it and you wont be able to take it to Honda service centers. People have done it, but usually its considered as killing the car (when its a Honda). performance etc will drop immediately.
Thanks for your valuable inputs, Roshum and Babychen. Then I will than rather go for conversion of my accent into CNG.
If your Accent has only done 15,000 kms then you might as well get it converted into CNG. My friend owns a CNG Accent and CNG is pretty successful in the Accent. If you convert the City into CNG the performance will drop by quite a bit, but if you can find a nice CNG mechanic it shouldn’t be a problem either.
Accent and CNG are like made for each others… The best compatibility I have ever seen with CNG… I have it since 2007 and have done One lac plus kms,,, AND No issues at all… so if you looking for CNG versions,,, be with it only
Accent has been in the market for a long time. But now, it has outdated looks. Mileage is less than other cars in its segment. Performance too is mediocre and resale value will not be great in the coming years. Sales have been dwindling at less than 700 units per month. In Jan 2012, it sales stood at 463 units.
The Accent is an OK car when it comes to mileage and performance. Not resale value. It is already considered outdated, so resale will be quite low. Especially if you fit CNg. but if you are looking for a cheap sedan with reasonable space and the ability to fit CNG, there is nothing wrong with it. It is a wrong choice if you want resale though. If…[Read more]
@Ravi If you are looking for CNG sedans, you can go for the Maruti Suzuki Sx4 which comes with factory fitted CNG.

The Accent was never a performance oriented car and the CNG version is a purely VFM variant of it. Please do not expect sizzling performance from it. It is a 5 seater point to point mode of transport in an affordable cost.

Accent is a car with a 10 year vintage. It was never a performer anyway, especially the 1.5 variant. There are better options available in the market for a CNG saloon.
