Two petrol SUVs and two V6s (the Skoda is a V6 4X4)! Why am I not surprised? The surprise is the Pajero, but then nobody would buy a Pajero for fuel economy.

Ashutosh, we havent heard anything about a diesel Vitara from Suzuki. Vitara will need a higher capacity diesel, and right now all maruti models use the Fiat 1.3 multijet engine which is not enough to power the Vitara. I don’t think they have identified a diesel engine for the Vitara yet.

No such luck. Suzuki doesn’t have a diesel engine that’s suitable for the Grand Vitara. If it had one, it would be a fantastic SUV.
