Maruti Suzuki is known for its low maintenance costs and spare parts costs. besides, it also has wide sales & service networks that offers reliable service. Go for the Swift Ldi
Both are good. Figo has pretty low spares cost too. You decide based on which dealership / service center you are closer to, and which will be convenient for you.
Swift is better if maintenance and service cost are your main concerns
Between the three you speak of, the Swift is the safest choice and also has the best engine. However, some reviews have pointed out some issues in the braking of the non ZXI / ZDI versions.
swift and i20 are not premium segment… polo, jazz and fabia are premium segment… if u travel a lot and require a boot and safety features.. go fr jazz, else go fr polo or fabia… practically both are same cars with just different bodies
The Jazz is a bit expensive as compared to the mid variants of the cars you have listed. But if you can stretch your budget, nothing like it. I dont find the Polo Comfortline worth the extra 50k VW charges over the base model. I’d rather buy the Trendline and have the door handles and mirrors painted at the dealer if I cant go for the Highline.…[Read more]
if u want classy car look no beyond, polo is the right choice…built like a tank and handles pretty well… if u want reliability,re sale value, good ass, VFM go for swift… if u want a powerful hatch with lot of gizmos go for i20…
the best choice would be the swift for a number of reasons – 1) best engine in its class. 2) extremely fun to drive, great handling. 3) fuel efficient. 4) cheapest to buy among your other choices. 4) hassle free service from maruti. 5) cheapest to maintain. the other two are good but quite a lot more expensive. the new i20 is very spacious and…[Read more]
Shivam, you have asked the question that confuses everyone! To figure this out, you have to think about exactly what you need.
If you want speed, both will do the job. No problems.
If you want very good handling on corners while going fast – brilliant control – it is Swift. On the other hand, if you want comfort on bad roads while going at…[Read more]
Performance wise, the new i20 and Swift are a close match. However, the i20 has more space and offers more features than the Swift. So, if you are particular about features and rear seat space, choose the i20, but be ready to pay the premium. On the other hand, if you are on a tight budget and maintenance costs and resale value are your top…[Read more]
i 20 anytime.
Mathew said it all, really. I’d just like to add that the i20 while being an excellent city car looses out on the highway due to its soft suspension and inert steering. It also has some ground clearance issues when loaded. Basically, it needs good smooth roads to be at its best.

The new Swift feels quite well put together. No panel gaps, no rattles at least reported till now. However, there seems to be some growing concern over the braking of Vdi/Vxi Lxi/Ldi models.

The New Swift is solid and seems well put together, the interiors have a nice color scheme and the plastics are of good quality as well.

It is definitely better than the old Swift, which was notorious for its rattles. But as not many cars have crossed the 50k km mark as yet, the jury is still out on the extent of improvement. That said, this is no Punto or Fabia or Polo and you can feel the overall lightness in the build.
