ty for your fast reply , i just had a talk with a skoda person he says that maintenance is not much because earlier car parts were imported and all that but this skoda rapid has a plant in PUNE itself so maintenance have really come down , and this car is specially launched in india only what do you guys think for it ?

The Rapid is a good bet overall. Service intervals are once in 15,000 km, so don’t worry too much about it. Service costs will be about Rs. 7000 per service.

If you are looking for Petrol then there are other very Good options available my first two picks are 1. Linea T-Jet : Just drive it once and feel the Turbo charged Petrol Motor. 2. Honda City : Always trusted i-Vtec. All the reviews about Vento/Rapid Petrol says that it is sluggish engine. So choice is yours. all the best

Yea the discounts are probably off, and prices have changed since then. I am an automatic driver, so biased in favour of them! With the Fiesta AT, with mostly city driving, your friend should not notice any problems with torque etc. For pure value for money it is difficult to beat diesel cars these days though. Well I would suggest the Fiesta, it has an amazing Autobox that is shifts gears seamlessly! Everyone is saying Fiesta; I would say Fiesta too. Nothing beats the comfort of an automatic when stuck in mad city traffic. And the Ford is perhaps the best automatic in its price range. Excellent ride comfort and great front seats only make the package that much better.

For just 30 km a day (15 km each way) and in Pune traffic, go for the Fiesta automatic. It has the added benefit of being a great car to take on long trips on the twisties too (like a weekend trip to Lonavala or a long expressway drive). Fuel efficiency is decent and the car is silent and a delight to drive.

I would suggest the Rapid as although they are both essentially the same cars, the Rapid is slightly better when it comes to actual driving. Although the difference is minor so its more about brand preferences.

I would suggest Rapid Ambition model. it is mid variant and comes with essential safety features like air bag n AB, which are not present in vento comfortline. It also has better looks compared to vento.
