    • Nano is practical, but not for everyone. Do you want a cheap car, that is economical and has lots of legroom and headroom? Then yes. Also, if you do not go on long trips. • Alto has better acceleration and top-end performance. Its engine is less noisy when compared to the Nano. Besides, its 30,000 plus sales every month shows how reliable Alto is. But the Alto doesn’t offer as much legroom and headroom that the Nano offers. Hence, if you are a tall person and legroom & headroom are your top priorities and don’t mind…[Read more]

    • Nano is good for crowded cities and where there’s plenty of traffic. It has a small turning radius and parking is easy. It’s also surprisingly spacious for four people. Good as a city car only.

    • They succeeded in building such a small and light weight version of passenger cars. Having trouble with their ignition systems. Electric version could be easy to make on this platform. Will make a very powerful transformation of Everyday-City-Commuter population

    • Tata has the technology to make an electric Nano, and has showcased a prototype at the Geneva Motor show in 2010. They can make it, but there’s no market for it in India yet, as charging points are few and far between. Battery technology and range is a problem. Replacement batteries are still expensive. Once all these issues are sorted out on a…[Read more]

    • Domestic charging is possible only for those with houses. In the metros, most live in flats and getting a power point to charge the car will be difficult.
