We are planning to upgrade from our current diesel sedan Tata Indigo to a diesel SUV/MPV in 9 -12 lacs range. We are a family of five. I am very much interested in Renault Duster. When is it likely to be launched? The local dealer says booking will open by 1st week of June. Is Duster worth waiting or should we go in for Innova/Ertiga/Scorpio/New Safari ? ...

    • I would say Its worth a wait. (June is just 15 days away ;) ) You can always go for Innova if you don’t like it.

    • The Duster is one of the most eagerly awaited launches and we’d recommend you wait for it and then decide.

I am planning to buy a new car for my family of six. Is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga a good choice or should I go for the  Toyota Innova? My budget is Rs. 7 lakh! ...

    • Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is a 3-row, 7-seater utility vehicle with lot of cues borrowed from its Swift family member. Comfortable seats and employment of premium quality material with terrific fit and finish embraces a regal feeling inside the cabin. Boot space is awesome at 135 litres and with last row seats folded, it increases to 735…[Read more]

    • The Ertiga is a good car for you if all 6 people will travel together only occasionally on a regular basis it is best suited for 5.

    • You won’t get a good variant of the Innova in your budget of Rs. 7 lakh. Instead, you could opt for the Ertiga. Only thing is that with all six people on board, you will have limited legroom and luggage room. If this is not an issue (like if you’re going to be using it for city mainly, and if you have children), then the Ertiga is a good choice.…[Read more]

which is better in diesel suv/muv?for comparing the Maruti Ertiga to the Toyota Innova or Mahindra Xylo? ...

    • It’s not actually fair to compare the Ertiga to the Innova or the Xylo, as they are quite differently built. Look at the Ertiga as a car with two extra seats, and that’s exactly what it is. It’s built on the Swift platform, and drives like a car. You can seat a couple of extra people when you want, and otherwise you get plenty of luggage space. So…[Read more]

    • Simply considering the amount of money you will save the Ertiga makes more sense. The Innova and Xylo have more space but the Ertiga handles like a car as it is not a traditional MPV. In fact the Ertiga’s seating is very flexible and for the most part you will not have any trouble. The only downside is with all seats occupied you can’t really…[Read more]

    • Depends on your requirement. If you need a car with room for 4 adults and 2 children, the Ertiga it is. If you need a full blown 7 seater MUV, you can buy the Innova or the Xylo depending on your liking and budget. If money is not a concern, the Innova it is, or else the Xylo.
