Mahindra will launch the Verito compact sedan on the July 25, 2012 and is expected to be priced around Rs. 40,000 less than the present model.
The tail lamp cluster of the Verito compact sedan will likely have a different design. The Verito compact sedan may also get refreshed interiors, but will retain the spacious cabin that the Verito sedan is known for. It will likely be able to accommodate five passengers easily.

Although it will be a shortened version of the Verito sedan, the Verito CS will likely still offer a decent boot space of 350 litres. We expect the Verito CS to be powered by a 1.5 litre dCI engine that churns out 65 bhp of power and 160 Nm of torque.
The Verito diesel sedan has a claimed mileage of 21.03 kmpl and the Verito compact version will have a similar mileage figure if not more. Also read: Why the Mahindra Verito is a good car for its features
As per government norms, petrol cars that are powered by engines that are 1.2 litre or smaller are eligible for excise duty sops that small cars get. At present Mahindra does not have a petrol engine that can be used in the Verito CS to reap benefits of a sub four meter car, hence it may not be launched in petrol.
The Verito compact sedan may be priced in the range of Rs. 5.78 lakh – Rs. 6.54 lakh. This will pit the Verito CS against popular compact sedans like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire diesel which is priced in the range of Rs. 5.91 lakh – Rs. 7.51 lakh and the Tata Indigo eCS diesel priced in the range of Rs. 5.61 lakh – Rs. 6.14 lakh.

Superb.. But I think we have to get used to anxiety and also if some unexpected things like traffic snarls, Traffic diversions, deroutes happens and if driven with Family can give anxious moments. But If there are some charge points also located at each and every petrol station in the city (which government can make mandatory) then may be you will be saved from the anxious moments. If the car can give a guarantee range of 150kms (With AC, Traffic, Lights etc etc.) then I think many will buy. What will be cost of battery replacement? and what will be time frame before we replace them?
