The stricter safety rules in India that will be in effect in next couple of years will see a vast change in the automotive industry. The popular hatchback Alto will make way for the new one in late 2018 and Maruti will showcase it in the Auto Expo.

Maruti has already started testing the JDM model of the Alto in India. It is expected to be powered by a 660cc engine that will be offered with an optional AMT. The engine produces a maximum of 51 Bhp – 63 Nm.
