The Alto name has been the top-selling name in the Indian car market. The Alto will soon come in an all-new avatar. In a bid to keep the current generation of the Alto K10 fresh in the market, Maruti Suzuki has launched a special edition of the vehicle. Known as Alto K10 Plus, the vehicle is only available with the top-end VXi variant. The price of the vehicle starts at Rs. 3.40 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
What are the additions?
On the outside, the special edition Alto K10 has received rear spoiler, reverse parking sensors, chrome on the wheel arches, fog lamps with chrome garnish. The vehicle also gets body coloured door handles, ORVMs, body-side moulding, chrome belt line. Maruti also added central locking to the vehicle.
On the inside, the vehicle gets few special touches. There is piano finish stereo on the dashboard, that makes it look bit more premium. The car also gets front power windows.
The limited edition Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Plus remains mechanically unchanged. The vehicle is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine that produces a maximum of 68 BHP and 90 Nm of maximum torque. The power is transferred to the front wheel via a 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed AGS or Auto Gear Shift AMT.
Maruti has added quite a number of limited edition vehicles in their line-up to make sure that the products stay fresh. Recently, the company added Ertiga limited edition. Maruti will bring in the all-new Alto to India next year to meet the new safety standards of the Indian government. The new vehicle will look similar to the one sold in the Japanese Domestic Market.
This year, Maruti has many products that will be launched, including new Ciaz, S-Cross, and Baleno RS. Next year, Maruti will also bring in the all-new WagonR.
