The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the largest selling entry-level sedan in India. The Dzire has the sporty looks of the Swift and borrows its engines from the Swift as well. With a large boot, the Dzire is more practical as a family car. Despite competition in form of the Tata Manza, Mahindra Verito and Toyota Etios, the Dzire has been selling in large numbers consistently, proving its popularity among buyers.
The Dzire is available in two engine options: the 1.2-litre K-series petrol motor and the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor. The 1.2-litre power mill puts out 84 bhp of power and returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 17.94 kmpl. The 1.3-litre diesel engine puts out 74 bhp of power and returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 21.70 kmpl. The Dzire returns mileage close to the claimed mileage, making it ideal for long journeys and with Maruti Suzuki’s service the Dzire is hard to beat, when it comes to ‘value for money’.
