Ketki, if you are yourself going to drive and if your application is also traveling intercity like Mumbai to Pune or something like that. My clear suggestion is the ford fiesta classic diesel. Ultimate mileage, very low maintenance. Sunroof I don’t know maybe in the new fiesta. Otherwise the cruze is the best option. But I find the gears a little…[Read more]

First question from me is..how much is your driving? IF it is less than 45000 kms/ annum no point buying a diesel….except for environmental reasons….. For the sunroof I think Cruze is one of the only oem options…electrically folding mirrors? I don’t know how important that feature is…the one that should be on your list is good ergonomics…[Read more]

You are sure you don’t want to go for the Innova? It is clearly a reliable vehicle. No style, though! XUV500 low end would be a good option – you get the looks and the engine, though not all the features. Force One – No! Let them at least bring it to the showrooms first. Build Quality and reliability is an unknown for it. Great engine though.

An Innova wont fit , as off-road drive is essential Gr8 confusion between SUV 5OO and Arai :/

Nissan Sunny gets off to a slow start, despite great value for money

Nissan shook up the entry-level and mid-size sedan segment with its great value-for-money pricing during its launch on September 20. However, sales have been slightly sluggish thereafter with 659 units only being booked by customers in the past 10 days

This is just the start for Nissan. And the present Sunny is the Petrol variant. I am surprised that there are 659 cars sold despite the erratic petrol price. The Diesel version should give us the precise picture.

People are quite clear. Below Rs.10 lakh, 7 out of 10 buyers would go either for a Maruti, Hyundai or Ford than new brands like VW, Nissan.. Reason? Buyers are concerned about resale value, after sales and services, spare parts cost. Only in the luxury segment, can the people have a free mindset for they have surplus cash to experiment buying new…[Read more]

Remember the premium pricing Nissan demanded for Micra? Its starting at 5.72 lakh for base variant and Rs.6.17 lakh for the top-end variant whereas the petrol variants starts at Rs. 4.10 and ends at Rs. 5.38. If the same pricing strategy followed in Sunny, they would offer just two variants, base variant at Rs. 8 lakh and top-end variant at Rs. 8.6 lakh

Actually, the market size for Sunny like cars is more than 1,500 units a month. Hence, this is pretty low. Further, if the first month sales haven’t been that great.. it simply shows the car in itself doesn’t attract that much… this is just my opinion…

I think Nissan will get over it in matter of time…yes, its true that Nissan as a commuter car maker is pretty alien to the subcontinent and As a MNC company I hope they realize the bitter truth.
For Nissan, Innovation and strategy is good technique in applying for the new car makers in the huge markets like us because even if you try harder on…[Read more]

New Volkswagen Jetta launched at Rs. 14.12 lakh

Volkswagen today launched the new Jetta in four variants; Trendline, Comfortline, Highline manual and DSG gearbox priced between Rs. 14.12 lakh and Rs. 18 lakh. The new Jetta is available only with a diesel engine initially, as Volkswagen feels that there won’t be much demand for a petrol car in the premium-midsize segment.
