Which is better: Figo diesel top model, Fabia diesel base model or new Swift VDi?

Bharat Peswani has already test-driven the Figo diesel (top-end model), and is figuring out which is a better option to buy. Apart from Figo, his shortlist includes Fabia diesel base model and the new Swift VDi (which is launching tomorrow)

@Niranjan true about the Drivability of the Micra, but a person buying a car should consider all the aspects like mileage, engine performance,A.S.S,which makes a good and reliable car like swift,so do not draw conclusions on just test driving:)

full option anytime… Figo… but if u want a higher car, fabia is a classy car and swift is a powerful car… fabia has better build, ride, tyres and handling…. aurbags even on base variant…. new swift Vdi has good powerful engine, refinement, mileage but lacks feautres which is present only in fully loaded zdi…..

you have to FIG(O)ure it out yourself! FABialous cars aren’t that SWIFT!

i recommend Swift for – driving pleasure, high resale, low maintenance! (all new model launching tomrw).
Fabia- for good quality interios and feel good factor!
Figo- exellent value for money, good boot space.

It all depends what kind of a person are you…ride and handling..nothing can beat Swift! Jack of all trades but master of none is the Figo while big on space and quality is the Fabia…see what you want and what you can compromise on!
Engine refinement and performance wise..Swift is still the king! (Long Waiting period may be a deterrent though!)

I had the same confusion but swift never was in my list Instead Punto was shortlisted.

Fabia + A strong european car with good handling and ride comfort. Excellent Braking and Safety Features, Superb Interiors. No worries abt service, the SA assured that I would not be visiting the Service other than the 15K Service Interval.

Definitely its the Alto K10. It is the latest car which has Maruti’s K-Series engine which is very low on maintenance. Despite that the engine is very peppy and returns very good mileage too. So, I suggest the Alto K10.

sathya, we have had an alto for 7 years. the car has run 80.000 kilometres. in that time, we have changed the battery, tyres, and wipers (twice). that’s it. nothing seems to go wrong in the car.

If planing to buy a new car then 1st choice should be Alto K10, 2nd Spark, 3rd Alto(without K10 engine)….
& if sencond hand then no ifs & buts only Alto…

Hey Sathya, I have driven Santro for 3 years which was again a 3 year old used car, I hardly seen any major bill crossing 5K. An avg cost of 4k is what service cost for Santro. I wud recon on Santro compared to Alto/Spark. Spark is a decent car like Santro and very good with the offer Chevy provides for maintenance. Spark’s mileage and engine is…[Read more]

My personal experience : Just go for the Santro.
        It has all.
The looks and feel of a bigger car.
        The road presence.
More respect than the other two.
More space and boot space than the other two.
More resale value than the other two.
Very reliable : doesn’t need a mechanic if serviced properly.
Most important : Your family will feel more proud in…[Read more]
