Nikhil Kalantre has asked the community to help him choose a sedan under nine lakh. He is confused between the Fiat Linea Emotion diesel and the Nissan Sunny XV (Petrol). He clocks around 40 kilometers each day and has listed out his primary concerns as after sales services, features, good handling and low maintenance cost. <

The new compact salons will look the same with a smaller boot, so they’ll look almost the same, facelift of the civic looks really good, but a bit disappointed with the hyundais these days, every car is based on the fluidic, seems like VW and Hyundai are in the saw phase where all their cars are based on one body design! Mahindra XUV500 is the new sales leader among all cars above Rs. 10 lakh

Mahindra XUV500 has just set itself another first. In the first month of sales, the XUV500 has sold the most number of vehicles among all cars priced above Rs. 10 lakh in India. What makes this feat even more commendable is that these sales came out of just five cities in which the XUV500 has been launched – Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai.

a well deserved feat by xuv…..hope it makes indian customers realize the gross over pricing of premier suvs..namely honda crv, toyota fortuner, chevrolet captiva, nissan x-trail.
these vehicles retail for 7-10lakh in overseas markets(middle east for ex) and for 20-25lakhs in india…

Can Mahindra XUV500 give the mighty Toyota Fortuner a run for its money?

The new Mahindra XUV500 packs in a lot of oomph and looks aggressive enough. It’s spacious and powerful, has more features and most of all, costs nearly Rs. 7 lakh less than the Toyota Fortuner – an SUV that’s been ruling the premium SUV segment with sales of over 900 vehicles a month, even at a Rs. 20 lakh price point.

the comparison is based on the price Alto K10 VXi is priced at Rs. 3.17 (non-metallic) while the Eon Magna is priced at Rs. 3.36 lakh. I completely deny its a biased review for we have clearly given the verdict highlighting the USP of each car ” Overall, the Alto K10 offers more with regard to performance while the Eon Magna which costs Rs.…[Read more]

Alto K10 is no comparison with Eon. Also the elegant high class sedan like style of K10 is amazing. I do not like to drive car look like a toy. My K10 is now 1 year old. I drive it in Hyderabad traffic like a bike and also overtake always the real bikes too.

common the power to weight ratio of k10 is comparable to swift petrol nd u comparing it with eon…nothing in market can match k series engines refinement.. only cons is shorter gear ratio nd soft shockers of k10..everything else too gud.

I own a WagonR for the past 6 years. And one of my relatives bought the new K series WagonR last year. I can find my car(4 cylinder) extremely smooth at all engine RPMs while the almost new car has high engine noise. Engine screams once it crosses 3K rpm and the sound of the engine is not as healthy as my car’s engine. I have not tried out POLO…[Read more]

4 cylinder engines need a heavier flywheel to compensate for the bigger crankshaft. heavier the flywheel, smoother the engine though it a;so means it will rev a bit slower and a bit less.

one strong benefit of 3 cyl. over same capacity 4 cyl engine is that pistons and cylinders are 25% more stronger. Increase the numbers of cylinders and engine noise gets smoother, that’s why high end luxury cars have more numbers of cylinders like 6, 8, 12 etc. notice how the Tata Nano engine sounds, like a scooter because its 2 cyl. I have a 3…[Read more]

Guys….bt as we knw in india the fuel efficiency comes alwz first den ant othr topics of power. Here 3 cylinders cars r really gud gng coz fuel efficiency. 4 cylinders hav power at low rpm’s bt here we hav a very less space to show car power. Dats why 3 cylinders r winng battle frm pretty long time.

I think it depends on the configuration of the car well having a three cylinder car gives good mileage at low rpm but, it needs to be revved harder at higher speeds also the gear ratios in three cylinder cars like the alto is apt for city conditions but driving on highways is a bit sluggish! however it is the opposite in four cylinder cars which…[Read more]

Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time

Smartly use the AC means we should avoid keeping AC ON on signals, you can also keep AC power at min here… lower rpm lower AC…at higher rpm it doesn’t matter

From i10 i can get max. 17 km/ltr (with WIDER TYRE set)..

Its all depends upon the Engine’s Power to Weight Ratio, Tyres, Gear ratio, Aerodynamics, Suspensions etc. etc.

Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….
