    Skoda Rapid images revealed

The Skoda Rapid was recently caught un-camouflaged, the images reveal that the design of the car is somewhat a blend of the Skoda Fabia’s front, the Skoda Laura’s rear and the Volkswagen Vento’s side profile. All the elements however come together beautifully and give the Rapid an elegant , no non-sense appeal.

Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time

Smartly use the AC means we should avoid keeping AC ON on signals, you can also keep AC power at min here… lower rpm lower AC…at higher rpm it doesn’t matter

Even Better, Keep the Damn Rickshaws off the road, No congestion, No road rage, No frustrated Drivers, No Bottle necks, even the BEST drivers are very calm and better fuel average, I realised our problem really is Very High percentage of Idiots on the Street, and not an inadequate road infrastructure.

I try to switch off engine when stopping at a light or when not in use for more than 1 min. I try to avoid minimum use of AC. This can also help in saving some amount of fuel.

        same experience here…

My Honda City 2010 is more efficient than my Hyundai I10 (1.2 kappa) 2009…

From i10 i can get max. 17 km/ltr (with WIDER TYRE set)..

Its all depends upon the Engine’s Power to Weight Ratio, Tyres, Gear ratio, Aerodynamics, Suspensions etc. etc.

Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….

And better, dont use performance kits and filters… they can drink the petrol sometimes that when you sometimes hit above 90 or above, the efficiency might be way below 20 sometimes… :P :P

Prashik Medhekar asks: Which is the best hatchback with good looks, interiors, spacious and comfortable?

Prashik Medhekar has a very specific question: he wants to know which is the best hatchback car with good looks, interiors, is spacious and comfortable. Also, it should be low maintenance and mileage of 20 kmpl. Budget: under Rs 6-7 lakh.

Indica Vista for space, Maruti Swift for handling and fuel efficiency, Ford Figo for all-round competency and Volkswagen Polo for looks.

according to your budget,, my choices for you will be on the top i20..just go and opt for this car wihtout any hindrance coz that car is one the best in every aspect you r lookin for…if not a hyundai fan, then go for swift or polo..

That’s a tricky one…BEST HATCH…does not exist….Depends on which city he’s from and how’s the service of various brands in that city (exception Maruti)….If he wants a htch NOW….then buy the VISTA…..It is by far the best vfm car out there right now…better than Swift…YES I said it. While the swift is a better looker, better handler…[Read more]

Before u select any car please Check the plastics used inside that car…It has to be value for money that u r paying….I took a Test Drive for Ritz LDI today….Avg Exp. Checked out Swift 2011 still gives you a crunchy feel on the rear seats…Its plastic sucks…just compare it with polo 1.2 Di. variants…It is any day better than Figo.…[Read more]

Why a Hatch for your Budget, when you can go for the Verito- excellent on highways- a diesel with Broad front seats and comfortable….a 600km journey in Venezuela for about 5 hours felt as fresh as we started in with loads of luggage and 4+1…makes most sense to buy 1. The top model has just 1 airbag and no faltoo gimmicks.
