Does the Skoda Rapid diesel stand a chance against the Hyundai Verna diesel?

The Hyundai Verna is the current sales leader among sedans in the Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh category and for good reason. The car offers fantastic value for money as most variants of the Verna are loaded with features and are good performers too. Obviously, the diesel variants are most-wanted, with frequent petrol price hikes in the last few months. Here, we compare the diesel variants of both Rap

HYUNDAI UNDOUBTEDLY SERVES THE BEST IN IT’S HATCHBACK CLASS BUT NOT IN IT’S SEDAN CLASS. SCODA RULES IN IT’S SEDAN CLASS FOR THE CLASS NOT FOR THE MASS..

rapid is nearly 1.5lakhs cheaper than verna. Being powerful engine, verna’s handling is not good enough for highways(so no use of that xtra power). Its only feature rich car. While rapid cud not hv features but germans never dissapoint in terms of ride &handling nor in performance. So imo rapid wud b a value for money car.

Skoda Fabia D, Maruti Suzuki Swift VDi or Nissan Micra XV? I am planning to buy one of these. I want a vehicle which will be suitable for long drives on not so perfect roads. Mostly it will be driven on roads which have crater like potholes. I have had a test drive of the Fabia and found it to be good. Personally, I don't like the suspension of the Swift which feels like a shoe without a sol -- more --

NISSAN makes user friendly cars world – wide. If price, performance n space go well, then ALL IS WELL for indmmian buyers. QUALIS, 800, BOLERO etc have done well in their segments. Comparing d angles yes d rear is d least appealling, secondly d coupe like roof line may create tight head space for d rear seat passenger. All d best NISSAN beware…[Read more]

For an individual who drives more than 50 kms a day beat will do.For an individual who likes driving and is in the city Figo is better. For a person who wants to ferry 5 ppl Ritz is good for its rear seat comfort when compared to the rivals only. Finally Indica which is for cab/Taxi purposes who wants his running cost low and cannot afford anything…[Read more]

The facts given above are not correct. The “Claimed Mileage” for Indica eV2 is 25KMPL & when tata motors says this they mean it…. not only this the mileage is not mentioned in the entire article write up… seems author is biased wid General Motors…

Beat is over priced according to Rits, Figo and Indica. Indica’s base variant is non-a/c and its interior is also poor.
Now we have Rits and Figo. Figo is best in space and in a/c cooling but its maintenance is little higher than others. Our last option is Rits.
Friends if you want value for money car , you must go with Rits because it has front…[Read more]

I find Beat lathargic & wobbly at higher speeds. All tata cars become Tin Cans after a couple of years’ use. So Figo & Ritz are better options.
With Figo giving a class look & ‘Ford’s’ tag while Ritz with its Fiat multijet engine, has the best powerhouse & ASS of Maruti, hands down!
Only negative point for Ritz is the design! If one can overlook…[Read more]

I have been a Tata customer for last 10 years. There is huge issue on their spare parts and the car quality. The maintenance is far higher and reliability is poor, no mention of customer service which is pathetic. It is basically a taxi segment and they treat it same.
