BEAT IS ONLY A CITY CAR.SWIFT CAN BE DRIVEN IN CITY, ON HIGHWAY, AND SOMETIMES EVEN ON DIRT TRACK AS A OFF ROADER. IHAVE DONE IT PERSONALLY.AND THE ENGINE OF SWIFT IS IMPORTED FROM ITALY FIAT, WHICH IS HAVING APEPPY PERFORMANCE.

It all depends if you intend to use the car for the highways or for the city driving.
If you do around 80% of the total travel in city then beat’s 3 cylinder engine (a derivative of the fiat’s 1.3 MJD) serves the purpose well but if the case is otherwise then swift would be it (of the two) as it has a larger 4 cylinder 1.3 MJD which churns out…[Read more]

@Pranay +1 to that. Both are good and the real reason behind this is that Vista will be good for 5 ppl and swift for 2 ppl or 3 thats all. Moreover i liked the Vista’s Biege n black interiors when comparet to that of swift’s where the black dash gets dreary after long journeys

@Vishwas Agreed dude.. To be precise vista is a more practical vehicle as compared to swift. If I’ve to choose one I’ll definitely go for Vista.

I never used a diesel car personally but know that Vista is good. Especially Quadrajet technology is the huge improvement and space is a definite advantage. Anyways finally its always price which always take predominance in my case.

I own a previous model of vista.I bought it in August..Vista really rocks in looks, performance, space, comfortable.I missed the face lift version by a whisker, But I am not too worried about it Because I got the same in lesser price…

@ Rama: True, a majority of the population goes by price, however, it should not just be which is cheaper, but which is more value for money.

However, I have noticed a trend, at least in the urban population (also owing to considerably more and growing variants/ options) – where a car has moved on from being a luxury to a necessity. So we should…[Read more]

ofcourse the vista is vfm than swift but wat makes the choice so clear is the product quality in terms of body and painting job.
rather swift also doesn’t have much more good finish but can be preffered over the TATA one.

Vista is far better Than the swift in terms of best equipments and comfort, whereas the swift has only been changed at the outside and the same dreary black interiors sucks big time, whereas Indica Vista is always refreshing when you enter the vehicle and even the rear seats feels better and 3 ppl can seat abreast and comfortable in the highways.

To a serious buyer-buy the Vista TDI-is actually 80% as good in terms of drivability as compared to the quadrajet and cheaper to maintain;MUCH cheaper to buy-infact as costly as a petrol version of most cars-YOU start SAVING from day 1;-i own one-LOVE IT!

Tata vehicles suffer due to quality issues. That ‘impression’ carries on for all its vehicles. Until they take that seriously, they will never get valuation that they really deserve. They really need to get their act together. AND thats why Maruti outsells others. Reliability. Add to that looks and maintenance..and you have a winner. In that…[Read more]

Space & comfort are two big things that one should look for while taking a car. The swift has a waiting period of 6-7 months which is another concern. Addition to that the VDI version would cost you 6,47,000/- on road in Pune that too without a music system. Where as the Vista comes with a price tag of 5,50,950 for the VX model & is loaded with…[Read more]

The all new Vista backs out on some of the features. First is the interior plastic quality that has always been a concern with Tata buyers, in new Vista as well this error can be easily seen.http://goo.gl/vSgbr The gear shift is not one of the smoothest as Tata claims, it requires more than just a flick of the wrist. At high speeds, you will feel…[Read more]
