Linea with lil discounts on diesel is an attractive option, rides well too.. verna is too much feature loaded and is an excellent vfm but loses some ground on ride quality.. sunny is for calm drivers, it handles well but lacks sporty feel, and about rapid, its better to shell out 25000 more for vento.. If I’ve to choose one, I’d lock between verna…[Read more]
Ride quality is actually quite subjective – it is different in the city and the highway, on good roads and bad roads, at moderate speeds and when driving fast… on straight roads or on mountain curves. Where exactly will you be driving the car? Verna is quite plush and nice on uneven roads at slow speeds, not so good at curves… Rapid is stiffer…[Read more]
@babychen: wo wo wo!
Gaurav must b confused dt wer shud he drive d car to check d ride quality..
@gaurav: buddy, for ride + handling quality &for value for ur money go with Linea. Its gud compared to others. But it has low ground clearance.
Rapid is also a gud choice. Only it vl b expensive to maintain.
Verna is a feature rich car. But its also a bit low grounded &its handling is not so gud as 1 expect.
Test drive al d cars.
@ Pranay Jiraiya, babychen, yogesh.,.,., thank you guys for your advice.,.,.,, thanks a lot.,.,.,
i have a buget of about 8 lacs .,,.,.,., nd i need low maintainance .,.,.,., wich one do you suggest?
or lower maintenance Verna holds good
For ride quality, go 4 skoda or fiat. New linea coming on 3rd jan will get better interiors and ground clearence. Fiat service cost is as low as maruti but quality depends on dealer. Same with skoda but costs are higher.
gaurav, i think u shud go with sx4 diesel. Its ride is gud &so has d fuel effeciency wit low cost maintenance.
all above the best go and test drive new global fiesta ita all above and better in every aspect except pickup
Nissan..
All of the above has got something or the other which make each of them good, or better than the other, Skoda and Hyundai got nice cabin and dashboard and Fiat and Nissan has got nice space in the Cabin. Driving and handling is better in Nissan and Skoda and shifting also, Hyundai has got nice looks and style than the others. Fiat has got nice…[Read more]

@ Gaurav you can try the Fiesta classic diesel….
fiat punto grande
In hatchback segment, the Maruti Swift is the leader… it has everything that you need from a premium hatchback, sytle, engine & performance, handling, reliability, maruti’s wide service network and good resale value
In the sedan segment, Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the No.1 seller, it has a big boot space, though the rear is a bit quirky. If you got patience till January 2012, do wait for Dzire compact version, http://www.cartoq.com/new-compact-swift-dzire-launch-likely-in-the-next-2-months/
The Dzire compact will have = looks of the new Swift + more boot space than the Swift’s 201 litres
Dzire diesel is a good choice in this price band. Hyundai i20 / Swift diesel are great purchases if its a hatchback
In hatchbacks Swift no matter is good but the waiting period is really disgusting.Indica Vista is better than swift IMOIn the sedans why dont you try Indigo eCS VX? it has a lot of features
swift dsl
punto…
thanks guys for your advice.,.,.,.,.,
any upcoming lauches to wait for.,.,???????/
I think Skoda Rapid in coming in this segment but may cost more on-road price.
Wait till Auto expo 2012 you may have a look at new dzire which is also good for engine and not for styling.
