Diesel hatchbacks you can buy with less than a month's waiting period!

Waiting periods are taking their toll on potential buyers looking for hatchbacks, especially, diesel versions. CarToq spoke to dealers across the country and found out which diesel small cars you can buy within a month.

well I think instead of waiting 8-9months for Swift we have many options we can get Beat, Figo, Punto, Vista, Fabia, I 20, Polo juts within a week or maxx 1 month so better go for these options if u love Swift diesel engine not to forget same engines are used in TATA and Fiat vehicles. Ritz the design from rear is most worst..so want a diesel car…[Read more]

I would reccommend Tata Vista vx for 2 good reasons.
        1. It shares the same engine as swift diesel (1.3-litre multijet engine).
        2. The new Sedan Class offers you more than any other hatchback in the country, true value for money.

Personally ford figo rocks, clocked 160 kmph on the highway and shes as steady as a hippo , as swift as a stalion. With a speed of steady 140, she returns a mileage of 18 kmpl. Packed with goodies like bluetooth audio system, its the best small car available in the market with a reasonable maintainance cost. And marutis diesels r expensive to…[Read more]

altho swift, vista, punto nd ritz share te same engine, drivability varies vastly….swift feels very quick wit te ddis….while punto wit aroung 100kilos extra feels very slow in comparison.
nd vista’s gear shift sucks nd feels slower…
bt i do agree tat figo’s engine s as capable nd drivability s gud too….

yeah. but its feature packed (minus fog lamps n alloy wheels it has everything that other diesel cars offer in their top variants) and at a very competitive price. I like that chilled glove box feature. hehe. Plus brand toyota. Like the ‘Honda’ cars even Toyota cars are treated as premium cars in Indian market accoring to many buyers!
        Even though…[Read more]

its so worth the wait for the swift…buy it once and u shall never regret…
i20, polo and punto are expensive good for nothing dabba’s on four wheels….
and am not just talking about the swift for it being cheaper but its a gr8 car all2gether has got gr8 vfm and fuel economy and is fun to drive around be it the city or the highway.

Vista is hydraulic powered. Swift is Electronic. So swift steering will be smooth. I own a Manza, and love it for all except for slightly harder steering.
