68 bhp makes liva stand in line with Figo diesel, so sufficient power… mileage of 23.59 kmpl means, on-road, we may get 18-20 kmpl… and its a proper 5 seater. only if you ignore some bad plastic bits, the car is a promising buy.

Etios is an ugly looking ripped off vehicle and the same applies for Liva… Manza offers an unmatched 90ps wid class interiors… The petrol engine was too noisy.. I think the diesel version would suppress a bass tube easily and unbearable vibrations… Ppl who bought etios are not xactly happy customers… Its a cheat on brand name…

well it can beat swift, dzire, manza, vista and verito if the mileage is good.all the best Toyota.the only issue is waiting period sld not be longer and maintanence sld be affordable.

The exterior of LIVA is good but the interior is too worse, as compared to any INDIAN hatchback!
Toyota made a great car but due to interior it’s proven that TOYOTA doesn’t have experience in developing interior for INDIAN consumers!

        specially the fiats!

would be fun to watch the etios getting crushed!

The petrol engines were more noisy than a bass tube, wonder if the diesel version could do the twice.

they jst cant beat the multijet diesel engines . . . . Toyota should hav to do btr with their petrol version . . . Instead of launching a diesel. . . . .

@Pranay yes its true, infact many cases are mainly for the noise vibrations in the cabin the cost cutting in both the cars are made too much! A member of other forum gained backache because of the seats

toyota is givin us dissapointments after dissapointments………… underpowered engine and they’r not really aggressively priced. i think they’r overpriced… i really think they’r taking the indian consumers for granted.. sad. the etios sedan may do decently well, but i think this is the final nail in the liva’s coffin.. RIP

Thats true Anupam, Many owners in other forums are reporting real bad about the vehicle. The company has to be taught a lesson to never cheat Indian Customers.

My Alto K10 gives 68ps of power out of 1000cc and only 760kgs. So power to weight ration is best in the class. And I get video games like control steering and maneuvering this car. On road priced me about 4 lakh. Of course with 2 wiper string not single as in Etios :)

or even with a Ford Figo . And in this case the Liva’s engine will come and sit on the front seat .
i have a Fiat Punto and my elder brother has a Ford Figo .
And I love both the cars .
It’s like best of both worlds .
        Liva’s dash sucks . :)

I am not agreed that Fiesta has better handling than the Linea…

FIAT is known for its Ride and Handling so here verdict should be FIAT Linea cause it has great engine, chassis and Ride and Handling Characteristics.

Frankly There is no comparison between these two I test drive T-Jet, Fiesta TiVCT, new Verna(so called 123 bhp). I rate T-Jet no.1 then New Fiesta and Verna. Though on paper Verna’s Engine is Big but it never transform into Performance. Drive T-Jet it is fun
