Comparing the mid spec of ford figo diesel and honda brio gasoline, with 600km per month, it is definetly pointing to honda. But, mark my words…, with the current trend going, the graphs of diesel and gasoline are varying with time, and for a period of 5 years, who knows.., diesel plays a better role.. But again, you are missing the great…[Read more]

I have all 3 diesel cars, 1 tata and 2 marutis. Tata is a pain to maintain, the marutis are damn cheap….trust me at the end of the month its the money tat matters the most. Especially wen u drive more than 2000km a month.

For a driving of 600km per month gasoline will rock as the difference betwenn petrol and idesel in cost of ownership will be 1Lakh. If u run in 600km per month then the yearly difference in fuel cost and mileage calculated will be around 12K. Now if u put this 1lakh in an Fd in such rate of interest u mihg teasily get arounf 10k yearly so all in…[Read more]

Should I buy Swift VDi (diesel) or the Jazz Select (petrol)?

Two weeks back this question would have an easy answer. But not any more. The new Swift was expected to be a huge hit with buyers, and it is. But Honda has thrown a challenge with the new Jazz by pricing it between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 6.06 lakh, which makes it a strong option among premium hatchbacks.

First of all decide whether u want a petrol or a diesel. Buy a diesel car only if u drive more than 2k km per month. If u have to decide btwn the swift petrol and the Jazz, Its a very close call. For me, I will go with the Swift not just bcos its Maruti, bcos its handling is simply superb. But Jazz isn’t bad, PLs check it out for urself, Its well…[Read more]

Why Honda Jazz is emerging as preferred option among premium hatchback buyers

Since Honda launched the face-lifted Jazz at an aggressive price range of Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 6.06 lakh, buyer interest in the car has shot up. CarToq spoke to some dealers, and they are saying waiting period is already 4-5 months for this car now.  Here's what has changed in the new Jazz, apart from the price reduction.
