Which AT do you suggest they should have bought instead? and why
the a star is a better car, plus cheaper by 1.5 lac.
I10 is a lot better car than A-Star its spacious,proven than marutis
Mostly small ATs are not selling much. But if you want a small AT, there is only i10 and A-Star. And if you want some space, then it is only i10 then
maybe i10 is better compared to the a star, but still paying 6.2 lacs for a tiny korean car ??? i thought the koreans usp was value for money, dont see tht here
I hate hyundai… Provoking people wid all features and highly priced. Betr to buy european or german
sikander i totally agree, hyundai is taking aam junta for a ride, a very uncomfortable bumpy n unstable ride.

The point is that people buy the car that is the best coimpromise between what they can afford, and what they need. So if you really need an AT, you have no choice at all. But small AT car sales are very low, so those who buy them are buying them despite the high price. Most dealers wont even have a test drive car often
astar gives better mileage
babychen, high time indian manafacturers woke up n offered an AT option. AT makes so much sense in high traffic commutes. n with modern tech n 6/7 speed gearboxes available, fuel consumption is not affected much.

Liva diesel is not selling much, thats for sure. dwsAuto is getting the car tomorrow hopefully for a test drive.

Have you test driven it? That is the only real test. You may find the noise and vibrations tolerable, or may totally hate it.
Yes it is crappy straight from Japan,I say even the Etios and its sibling is like a tractor,Ouch Tata Vista is better than this car,Friend what will you get after paying 6 lakhs for diesel version only the standard features,But look at the competition,they are far more better this car.I say The company ppl are just selling a soapbox with wheels.

The cheapest one you can get is Beat diesel..

Thanks guys… I also checked out the Jag XF… That seemed better than the A6 in a few aspects… They are launching a new XF in January… Therefore, I am awaiting that since i eventually intend buying 2 cars… As for now I have booked the Q5 3 litre diesel.
Well i say when it comes to Value for money Dzire is good but if you are a performance seeker then I20 Era is a great car and in maintenance Dzrie is good unlike i20 which is a little bit expensive than Dzire.But mileage wise Dzire gives you more performance.Even Tata Manza is VFM and has a good Powerful Diesel engine you might consider that too

Dude at this price point, the merc may sound affordable but only the vehicle is second hand, i guess the maintenance cost would be equal to a first hand three pointed star.You must talk to dealers regarding maintenance cost because if its affordable than safari is no match for it..

personally I would pick the Merc if maintenance is not an issue. That is the only known issue about used Mercs
If maintenance is not an issue then no Tata could match with the super premium image of a Mercedes and its a head turner on every road.My choice would be Merc

Yes its not the frequency of maintenance but the costs incurred
What about the maintanence cost of a Pajero??? in this price point, one can easily get a just 3 year old Pajero. infact just 2 yeaR olds are available for 15 lacs.
And are the maintainence costs of the BMW also as high as the Merc… ??? cos the C class and the 3 series cost almost the same…
