Yes, in terms of purely ride quality, the Punto is better than the i20. Let’s put it this way, the Punto is the best hatchback in terms of ride quality today in India. The way it flattens bad patches with the least drama has to be experienced to be believed.

I would say all three of these cars are better (and pricier) than the Micra. The only good thing with the Micra (diesel) is fuel economy and no turbo-lag and expected overall general reliability.

Micra is quite value for money. Others are all slightly bigger and more powerful.. Punto is good, but resale value is low.

Hyundai i20 iGen is also a good Choice to think about.
Engine performance is much better than other Desiel car in the segment, No doubt in Interior space,Likewise Boot Space, Rear Disc breaks along with ABS (only in 1.4 CRDI Sport and ASTA)moreover there few more First in segment features too.

Considering all top end models or top trims, here is my opinion. 90hp variant is well suited for highway driving but has a bit more lag. If the usage is restricted to the city, the 75hp variant is good enough.

Its similar on both. As I said, the 90hp variant has a bit more lag so you tend to drive with a slightly heavier foot in city traffic. Its the reverse on the highway, where the extra power means you need fewer revs to maintain the same speed. Thats about it.

Punto has some low quality plastics especially in height-adjustable seat belt latch and parcel trays. Steering mounted audio controls are offered only in top end Emotion variant. Rear headroom might be a bit of concern for six foot plus persons. Fiat need to emphasize on the after sales part as well to boost its car sales.

m driving a punto emotion pk 90 bhp.. one of the best handling car available in india. super suspension n ride quality very stable even above 140 km. But yes you hv to adjust with the service and mileage as compared to maruti. Though i hv nt faced ny issues with a.s.s yet … wud suggest u to take a test drive of ur listed vehicles

Why not Honda Jazz X? If u can wait till Feb/Mar then the Jazz is the best 4m the above choice. Worth waiting. Else 2nd option is Swift Zxi, which also has a waiting period.

if ur yearly mileage wud b around 12000km &keep ur car for atleast 5yrs, dn i wud recommend u to go with a diesel engine car. If not den go with Swift. Its performance &fuel economy both r gud with handling &best A.S.S. &2nd opt. is Punto. U can bare with its A.S.S.
