Which is a better option for a life long car; want one for my family. Ford Endeavour 2WD or Toyota Fortuner 2WD?  Want a 7-seater SUV with comfort and a diesel engine. Is this the right time to buy a car or should I wait for 2012? Please reply ASAP!

Toyota Fortuner is the best car for long term reliability. There’s a new fortuner faclift coming this Auto expo 2012,have a look at it then Decide, for an comfortable 7 seater in that category why not consider Innova?

wait for new launches in 2012… For long term reliability… I’ve seen 15yrs old pajero working in a superb condition… Fortuner is no doubt a great vehicle and so is endeavour.. U cud also get cheaper options like innova or aria or the new xuv

Toyota is known for its reliability &comfortable cars. &on other hand Ford is known for high maintainance cost &gr8 handling cars. Now its up to u to decide. My pick vl b Fortuner. As its resale vl b also high compared to endeavour.

This is quite a tough question. I ve seen 10 year old Endys going strong in India and the Fortuner too is known for its reputation to last. Ford spares “were” expensive but off late there has been a lot of cost optimisation by Ford. You should actually take a close look at both and then decide. If you want an automatic, the Endy with its 5 speed…[Read more]

?Vivek Savita Agree that the Honda brand is quite attractive. Also it is a very sporty small car! Problem is, the Vento and the i20 are much bigger in size and interior space. i20 is a solid, reliable car and same for Polo. Suggest between the Wagon R Duo (Petrol+LPG) or Chevrolet Beat Diesel, considering a run of 1100 kms/month.

WagonR Duo is a better option than CNG kit for wagonR etc. But Beat diesel is very economical too. I personally would always choose a petrol or a diesel – so biased in favour of Beat diesel. But WagonR has more interior space.

Nipun, Never expect ARAI mileage of 23 kmpl from Liva. For mileage buy any car with fiat multijet engine.. Swift, ritz, punto, vista. After 5000 km, it will give 21-22 kmpl plus amazing performance. Figo n beat also give great mileage and are value for money. Also compare features of punto, beat n figo with liva.
