Toyota Etios Liva diesel road test: Penny-pinching, spacious hatchback

Like several other manufacturers, Toyota too has realized the key to the hearts of Indian customers; diesel engines. In September Toyota introduced a diesel powered Etios Liva in an attempt to rope in more customers. CarToq took the Etios Liva diesel for a spin and here’s what we discovered during our road test.

Etios couldn’t do anything better in its sales numbers despite its diesel engine.. The Liva petrol never had a good start and now the Liva diesel…. Ain’t sure if Liva will live long among private car buyers. Together, the Etios + Liva sales in September was less than 5,000 units. With 30,519 units of Etios sold during Jan – Sep 2011, Toyota is…[Read more]

Is the Hyundai Eon a better choice than the Maruti Wagon R?

Hyundai has just launched its direct Alto rival, the Eon at a price range starting from Rs. 2.69 lakh. Hyundai offers six variants of Eon with roughly Rs. 20,000 price difference between each variant going up to Rs. 3.71 lakh for the top-end variant, the Eon Sports. Honda Brio V MT road test: City slicker

For a car that looks small, the Brio surprisingly packs in plenty of interior cabin space for the occupants. That, combined with the peppy, yet frugal, 1.2 litre engine are what make the Brio stand out as a great urban car for daily dr

Why the Tata Vista diesel is better value than Maruti Suzuki Swift

Tata Motors launched the face-lifted Vista a week after the new Swift was launched. The Swift is the popular and more preferred car among the two, but you will be surprised by this: for a certain set of buyers, the Vista diesel Quadrajet is a better proposition than the Swift diesel. ofcourse the vista is vfm than swift but wat makes the choice so clear is the product quality in terms of body and painting job.
rather swift also doesn’t have much more good finish but can be preffered over the TATA one.

You don’t need to own a car to comment here. One can experience by driving a Vista or a Swift of his/her friend.

This is a open space, and anyone can mark his/her presence here.

tata is not cheap but practically priced car, i c people praising maruti like anything only because it is cheap and poor can maitain it, try a european car first than u will know what a car is. tata is much better than maruti. maritu cars are not safe enough.

Vista is far better Than the swift in terms of best equipments and comfort, whereas the swift has only been changed at the outside and the same dreary black interiors sucks big time, whereas Indica Vista is always refreshing when you enter the vehicle and even the rear seats feels better and 3 ppl can seat abreast and comfortable in the highways.

To a serious buyer-buy the Vista TDI-is actually 80% as good in terms of drivability as compared to the quadrajet and cheaper to maintain;MUCH cheaper to buy-infact as costly as a petrol version of most cars-YOU start SAVING from day 1;-i own one-LOVE IT!

Tata vehicles suffer due to quality issues. That ‘impression’ carries on for all its vehicles. Until they take that seriously, they will never get valuation that they really deserve. They really need to get their act together. AND thats why Maruti outsells others. Reliability. Add to that looks and maintenance..and you have a winner. In that…[Read more]

Space & comfort are two big things that one should look for while taking a car. The swift has a waiting period of 6-7 months which is another concern. Addition to that the VDI version would cost you 6,47,000/- on road in Pune that too without a music system. Where as the Vista comes with a price tag of 5,50,950 for the VX model & is loaded with…[Read more]

The all new Vista backs out on some of the features. First is the interior plastic quality that has always been a concern with Tata buyers, in new Vista as well this error can be easily seen.http://goo.gl/vSgbr The gear shift is not one of the smoothest as Tata claims, it requires more than just a flick of the wrist. At high speeds, you will feel…[Read more]
