Iconic car. But it will work in a very small niche. Doesn’t work with the Indian mindset. Same reason the Fiat 500 failed here. Even the beautiful beetle couldn’t make a dent at 25lacs. So this will be a far cry at this price. The VM Beetle stood a better chance..but it still couldn’t make it.

It will be very difficult to spot these cars on Indian roads as there will be very few buyers who can afford it. These will go unnoticed just as the FIAT 500 and The VW Beetle.

These kind of cars are not meant to be huge hit or appeal to masses. A very similar situation like VW beetle or Fiat 500. However, the reason could be to just see how the market reacts and at the same time to increase the product ranges of the company. The recent updated news is Mini and BMW are not going to be under the same tree which means Mini…[Read more]

Saurav Bhattacharjee The probable solution to this is: Build more.. (I mean lotsa actually) CNG pumps (as CNG is natural and India has huge reserves of it). Make those pumps available on Highways too. CNG cant be adulterated..so that’s the plus point. :) Building more powerful engines to cope up with CNG’s bhp loss can also be done. :)

One mistake from editor: under thigh (they call it lumbar support). Actually under-thigh support is the seat support on which you rest your thighs. This depends on seat length (along the hips to knees) and the bench angle. And lumbar support is the support for your lower-back of spine. This depends on the padding at the lower part of the back rest…[Read more]

Skoda Laura at Rs 11 lakh: More trouble for Honda Civic

Skoda has cut the Laura 1.8L TSI Classic price by a massive Rs 1,44,000, with the previous price of Rs. 12.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Here's why the Laura could become a serious threat to others, the Honda Civic in particular.

Now-a-days petrol cars will be targeted by performance lovers and from their view it will be the Laura with 1.8 litre engine and 160 bhp even if Civic slashes it’s price. Dated looks, low powered engine, launch of the face-lifted model, low GC, etc. will add to the cons’ for HCivic.
