Hottest deals on premium hatchbacks in October, 2011

The festive month brought a good number of deals from automakers—some really inviting, others not so much. One thing that stood out was complete absence of any deals on diesel variants from any of the automaker.

Santosh Kumar has a surprising question. He wants to buy a diesel car but does not care about mileage. He wants the best options for power and comfort.

I use a ford figo diesel, have no complaints. Really powerful and sturdy. Ford quotes to have reduced the price of spares as well. Due fr a 20k service shrtly, will update u on the service costs. Do look into toyota liva and i20 as well as they r just as good. ford figo and i20 have stood the test of time already.

You cannot have both. If you prefer comfort, overcome our mental block and go for the Indica Vista. If you want performance, go for the Maruti Swift. It is curious that both cars have the same engine yet have a different driving experience.

In that budget, you can get Maruti Ritz VDI, Punto Active..both have the same engine. I would suggest you go for Punto because of its superior ride quality, suspension, space and looks. Ritz has a major suspension and body roll issue.. I own punto emotion, really happy with it.

For the Fiesta Classic it costs about Rs. 6,100 (laminated windshield). Labour will be extra. Check with Windshield Experts, as they have the best prices and will even do a doorstep installation.

Siwft LDI may cost you more than 6 lakhs and the only features are a/c ,power steering, multi information display. The figo Exi which is below 6 lakhs which has the above swift features along with:Power Windows(only at the front)Music player. Both are good options, but engine wise Swift is a performer and the figo is always a decent handler.

For instance, eV2 doesn’t have tilt adjustable steering, so unless you are 6 feet tall, when you sit on a eV2, the steering angle will face your neck rather than the lower chest (the ideal angle). Further, the clutch is hard to use, and hence, if our friend is planning for city…[Read more]

Fabia makes most sense in the comfort and brand image,Whereas Diesel micra was mainly a flaw in the market because of the poor selling techniques and lower service centres.
