less sugar coated comments from other reviews: Rarely have we wanted out of a car so badly before we even made it out of our office parking lot. With the motor revving straight to 4800 rpm, the drone from the powertrain is so intense you’d rather listen to your mother-in-law go on about a day of holiday shopping.

less sugar coated comments from other reviews: Nissan says it cut weight by reducing the number of parts by nearly 20 percent. Perhaps it left out a few too many critical components. The gap between the front wheel and fender makes the Sunny look like it’s on stilts, and it handles like it, too.

less sugar coated comments from other reviews: On the highway, the Sunny is nervous and subject to directional changes determined as often by the wind as by the driver.

Things are worse inside, too. The new interior is constructed entirely of concrete-hard plastics, with the only soft materials being the carpet, seats, and headliner. As evidenced…[Read more]

less sugar coated comments from other reviews:…only to find an astonishing amount of distortion from the speakers at just half volume. As a whole, the only real positive from the Sunn sedan is its enormous back seat, which offers tremendous legroom. But good luck finding anybody to fill it more than once…

New, small car propositions: understanding the Beat diesel variant-wise

With the imminent launch of the Hyundai Eon, the Indian small car market will soon see a new proposition. The Eon will be the first entry-level car that will be stylish and good-looking - a departure from the value-for-money proposition that all small cars are positioned around. In the run-up to the Eon launch, let's take a look at another small car that recently with its diesel offering has attem

Ritz the design from rear is most worst..so want a diesel car…[Read more]

I would reccommend Tata Vista vx for 2 good reasons.
        1. It shares the same engine as swift diesel (1.3-litre multijet engine).
        2. The new Sedan Class offers you more than any other hatchback in the country, true value for money.

altho swift, vista, punto nd ritz share te same engine, drivability varies vastly….swift feels very quick wit te ddis….while punto wit aroung 100kilos extra feels very slow in comparison.
nd vista’s gear shift sucks nd feels slower…
bt i do agree tat figo’s engine s as capable nd drivability s gud too….

i20, polo and punto are expensive good for nothing dabba’s on four wheels….
and am not just talking about the swift for it being cheaper but its a gr8 car all2gether has got gr8 vfm and fuel economy and is fun to drive around be it the city or the highway.

not as impressive as Octavia RS was at that time. Things n equations have changed over d years n I think Skoda should have brought in more features n specs into this so called “supercharged” vehicle… The RS badging should hold upto its name…

The days of badging a car as ‘performance version’ without really delivering significantly better performance is gone. There may be the odd person with more money than sense who will go for the badge but a true enthusiast wants the meat, that is the engine, to deliver what is not possible in cheaper versions of the model.

Would have done them good to have brought the 170 bhp or 200 bhp diesel instead in our kind of a market…absence of a true performance diesel saloon would have given the Skoda guys a full order book!

Except the price and the fact that a plain jane TSI can do whatever the VRS can, there little to find fault with, on this car.

I agree that on paper there’s nothing wrong with the car, except that it has the Skoda baggage behind it. But the 1.8 TSI Classic and Ambiente somehow make much more sense. Come to think of it, other cars with the 1.8 TSI engine are above 20 lakhs: Superb, A4 etc.
