Are you sure that Mini Xylo is up for a launch in November? I read somewhere that Mahidra wants to focus on the XUV500 as of now and has delayed the launch of Mini Xylo. Please confirm.

mahindra has not been serious in these attempts till now, mahindra classic, thar and now the xylo mini(the latter only for sake of exise benefits), this are deserves a full fleged and a whole hearted attempt. People serously want a good alternative to hatcbacks in the 5-6 lakh budget.

Charan Bhawnani A little more than hatchback, I would say. Something like a Skoda Yeti toughened for Indian conditions. Basically a 5-seater 4×4 mini SUV at around 8-10L is what I am talking about lol May be too much of expectations…

better den Etois and sx4 but not better den Verna in terms of unended features, looks, power and mileage not to forget gr8 resale value and ASS.

makes it good for the consumer, have oodles of choice, rather spoilt for choice.

They should have given remote locking, electric mirror adjustment & speed sensing auto lock.

SX4 beats all in terms of ground clearence good for indian roads.

Beat diesel is a 1.0 litre engined car where as the Ritz is a 1.3 and Ford Figo is 1.4 litre. Ritz outputs 75PS of peak power. And where comes the comparison between Ritz and BEAT? Ritz and figo are worth the price as they have better engines and offer better space and comfort.

I would reccommend Tata Vista vx for 2 good reasons.
1. It shares the same engine as swift diesel (1.3-litre multijet engine).
2. The new Sedan Class offers you more than any other hatchback in the country, true value for money.

altho swift,vista,punto nd ritz share te same engine,drivability varies vastly….swift feels very quick wit te ddis….while punto wit aroung 100kilos extra feels very slow in comparison.

Vista is hydraulic powered. Swift is Electronic. So swift steering will be smooth. I own a Manza, and love it for all except for slightly harder steering.

Does it come with other colour options unlike Octavia RS?

The days of badging a car as ‘performance version’ without really delivering significantly better performance is gone. There may be the odd person with more money than sense who will go for the badge but a true enthusiast wants the meat, that is the engine, to deliver what is not possible in cheaper versions of the model.

Would have done them good to have brought the 170 bhp or 200 bhp diesel instead in our kind of a market…absence of a true performance diesel saloon would have given the Skoda guys a full order book!

I heard abt dat its only 1.8l hw abt d bhp nt other details mentioned lst tme i drve an RS it wz AUDI RS 6 & did 274kmph.

I agree that on paper there’s nothing wrong with the car, except that it has the Skoda baggage behind it. But the 1.8 TSI Classic and Ambiente somehow make much more sense. Come to think of it, other cars with the 1.8 TSI engine are above 20 lakhs: Superb, A4 etc.

this car is a good car but not realy a valur for money as it is missing Auto climate control, stearing control, bluetooth, etc they sld hv given theses features as a std fitment in top end model.

if it had a 2.4 TSI AND 11DSG AUTO…IT meant RS, A Hyundai SONATA PETROL IS BETTER AND MORE REFINED.
