ok guys i need a suggestion… i have been told to take the car for a long drive on the open highways so as to open the car engine once i get the number… my car has run less than 100 kms yet.. what should i be doing?? should i go out & free it on highways ?? if so then any restrictions as regards speed or other parameters to maintain ??
BS, These engines are always run in, but it is always better to cruise at sensible speed for a few hundred km, does not mean slow or something, just sensible, cruise at sensible speeds, don’t race around for the first 500 km atleast, cruising is ok, no un-necessary revving, for that you have all the time in the world ,LATER.This is generally for…[Read more]
Yes cruise with a stable stable speed like 70-80,and avoid revving your engine
im hapy or the purchase… but verrrry sad with the dealer experience.. NEVER BUY FROM FORTUNE MOTORS Andheri East..!!
Side of Car is Looking Like XUV500.
waiting for this car but where is NXG? I love that one.
this 1 is designed by DC, do you think XUV is also designed by DC?
They seem workable for people like me, we have our own compound at home and work, and average travel per day is about 35 kms, But otherwise, I doubt it, no facilities for recharging, How would people living in an Apartment manage this.

ya its superb.
very highly priced , still only 80 kmpl (LAB variant), the govt. still wants to fool people and take them for granted , a non polluting vehicle should have major tax exemption which is not being given to consumers. the consumer should stop buying such vehicles and tell the companies and the govt. that they no longer will be taken for granted.
why don’t mahendra try 2 detachable battery packs one for driving mean time other will be kept for charging as spare.
Tushar Bhatia i agree!
new tech comes with few limitations!
you should buy these cars ans encourage the innovations!
maybe they are trying!
Do you know the weight and the cost of the pack, you will need a small trailer to lug it around, and lose the range because of the extra load.
BRAVO, Well said Vikram, But are the idiots listening.
hey charan right you are bro i do encourage new innovations . but at what cost . indian consumers are driven by social image and will buy stuff that are not worth that much and companies do a lot of cost cutting wherever they can for example interiors of any car model you see in india will have better quality stuff abroad . just proves that we as…[Read more]

How long the life cycle of batteries? It is the main question to compare its actual running cost against any petrol or diesel car.
I think it will be sensible to buy the car even if the cost of running comes at par with a diesel car which gives 25 Kmpl.
German Engineering and Korean Engineering are incomparable… Audi,VW,Merc,BMW are many steps higher than KIA,Hyundai,Daewoo,Ssyangong etc…..

Volkswagen has only one problem, SERVICE, get that right, and you are unbeatable, I have been a VW Lover all my life, owned Golf , Kombi Vans, Beetle’s , But I am still scared. Get the service right, and I will certainly have the Jetta and Passat in my compound, and yes the Skoda Yeti too.
What about Phaeton ?
Verna got blame by mercedes benz same as 1st generation sonata….!!!!
VW Vento is awesome, with features added its sure to send jitters across.
I got this model 1 week back , its realy worth buying.
@[1291635862:2048:Sanjay Laud] Better options are available at that price point
its nice, but volkswagon is already charging much for this car, they should add this features without raising the cost, even service cost is also too much high , they should also consider this.
i have heard something about soft suspension and bad ride quality of new verna ,is this true or just a blame game ?
Davinder Singh Randhawa recently i hv taken a test drive of both petrol and diesel verna the vehicle is just gr8 even i sat back and frt side wen my bro was driving the car i did not found any prob in suspension .suspension is good…i dnt find any bad ride quality in new verna.still i will suggets u to take a test drive og both verna and u decide.
Hrishi Acharya i will definitely take a test ride and thanks for clearing my misconception
Davinder Singh Randhawa thank u sir after all its a matter of choice.
I’ve taken test drive of VENTO Diesel, it makes lot of noise but engine was tooo good, it was like asking me to accelerate more. I’m going to take VENTO definitely. I’ve even cancelled VERNA booking for VENTO’s back seat comfort and excellent drive.
I always follow these rules.. and the result is that I can get mileage upto 21KM/Ltr of Petrol some times…..on my HONDA CITY i-VTEC…..

Hrishi Acharya : I totally agree with you..
Sirji, mistake se space aagya CARPOOL !!!
I follow most of this, and I get around 18-20 for my ritz diesil in city..
yes good one!
so bye using this I can reduce my car petrol bill.
i will follow ji heeeeeee.
Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time
Amruth Ganesh LOL Even the ARAI certified mileage is lesser than that
what’s the meaning of carpool?
Akash Shetty go google it
Smartly use the AC means we should avoid keeping AC ON on signals, you can also keep AC power at min here… lower rpm lower AC…at higher rpm it doesn’t matter
thanks DWS for nice tips.
Even Better, Keep the Damn Rickshaws off the road, No congestion, No road rage, No frustrated Drivers, No Bottle necks, even the BEST drivers are very calm and better fuel average, I realised our problem really is Very High percentage of Idiots on the Street, and not an inadequate road infrastructure.
I try to switch off engine when stopping at a light or when not in use for more than 1 min. I try to avoid minimum use of AC. This can also help in saving some amount of fuel.
gud thinking g.

I too get 17.5 kmpl sometimes from my honda city iv tec.
drivin at de speed of 40-50 wil give u gr8 milage…
Alto k10 owners are still, least worried..!!!
Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….
And better, dont use performance kits and filters… they can drink the petrol sometimes that when you sometimes hit above 90 or above, the efficiency might be way below 20 sometimes…
24.6 kmpl on verna crdi 1.6- highway
29.3 kmpl on highway for my new Dzire VDi & 25.7 kmpl in city driving… following all the tips for fuel efficiency. Never drive above 80kmph.

whts the average per litre? and this is the petrol or diesel?
Just look like Nissan Teana….
Interior is made up of cheap material.. Etios is better.. Nissan has not maintained the standard..
etios is BETTER??!
etios is SHIT compared to this one by NISSAN .
jusr see the features and STYLE
wow its on my name…i lyk it…
Diesel is still in the testing stages. The petrol gives 17KMPL approx
Etios is something like a grave dug by toyota for its brand image and quality in INDIA. Nissan is way ahead of ETIOS in terms of quality, features, space and comfort. Its a great move by NISSAN to launch this car and the launch of a diesel will prove to be a great success for NISSAN. This should be the best selling car for NISSAN in INDIAN MARKET
the vehicle has some strong points like more space in car, huge boot space, a brand Nissan and safety features….but still Nissan sld introduce sunny with diesel eng with good mileage ASAP.as pterol prices are have already hike people now a days are prefering diesel cars with good mileage.and also Nissan sld expand there showrroms and dealer…[Read more]

very gud I like it,,,,
how john cena wins wwe championship
night of champions is on 24th sunday
The car looks good from exteriors which resembles Nissan’s Tiana, but the Interiors looks basic like that of the etios
Good Move Nissan!
Viral Elavia ,agreed the Etios is not so good, but calling it shit is unfair, it is spartan, but I found the ride quality quiet good, and the bulletproof build quality of the Toyota, the car is targeted on the Indigo and Indica segment. I do’t think it is all that bad.
Ajay Srinivas Raghavan ,Sunny is a respected product, But I really hope they do not cut corners in India, Nissan has always been good, I have yet to see the car, more after I see it. I hope they do something about their service network soon.
Haha, Everything today has something chinese in it, No way of avoiding it.
Sanjay Chhabria Very True sir. Only after improving the After sales service, will the people of our country be confident enough to buy this car
In China everything is made from best quality to worst quality..It depends on how much u spend. The interior quality of sunny sucks.
ve u seen etios interior and dashboard.??? compare both u ll know which s cheap… but etios s a gud car too
it looks lik micrra man
Etios is better??? do u call Etios a Car?? Even an Auto is well built and has some quality wen compared to Etios…
SAALO NE MICRA KE INTERIORS DE RAKHE HAI!
Remember, most Japanese majors start this way except Suzuki. Honda had just one whoroom in Bangalore for almost 10 years!
Vishal, I won a Micra which has comparable interiors to what I am seeing in the pictures here. Believe me, the interiors are amazingly cheerful and comfortable
Ajay Srinivas Raghavan : True Ajay. i own a Micra and its interiors are way ahead of the Etios and the new Swift in terms of the quality of materials used.
Karthik Dhananjayan no just look back side it looks like teana nd front nd interior just looks like micra…

Waiting for the Diesel ver.
best car of the seasson but in this time I have no money not agood time for lonching.
I BOUGHT A ALTIS DIESEL, good choice, The more the hike, the bigger my smile, and My Neighbour bought an Altis V Petrol with Auto (It does not seem to move out of the compound much now) and was replaced by OPTRA Diesel.
Hi Dws Auto, I don’t think VW Jetta and Passat has petrol models….
now its time add diesel car in garage.
@arun old jetta and passat had petrol models…..
In punjab, price of petrol is Rs.74.
pls drop the question . . . The person with a sedan dsnt cr about fuel price hike. . . . .
I think people who maintain sedan/suv cars in india they never think about the prize hike.
why dnt people think abt CNG. MUCH CHEAPER THN PETROL AND DIESEL.
@Bharat and Rohit
CNG’s safety is low plus gs powered engine life is not too lon,
in the end of day petrol, diesel, CNG all have stand equal,
maintaing diesel car is not too easy plus it only have high torque at low rpm
not high power
soon india will redefine automobile technology by introducing Bio h20 Fuell cell powered Automobiles
diesel cars are good choice even if diesel price is rising.
I HAVE HONDA CITY ITS AVG JUST 13.5 KM, HOW CUM ITS 17 KM/LITRE? STILL M NT BOTHER ABOUT AVG AS I M DRIVING WORLDS BEST PETROL ENGINE TECHNOLOGY AND I BEAT LL DIESEL SEDANS AND PREMIUMS IN RACE OVER HIGHWAYS..:)
Its a good one loaded with fantastic features. And does Gurkha(From the same compay) has A/C PS?
@Vishwas Gurkha doesn’t has ac and power steering. I think its not even worth 6lacs as the engine is only 60bhp, highly underpowered.I’d like to ask a question to all…Is Force motors a reliable brand?
Thanks pranay and i think its good in commercial segment as their TT is doing well in our city(Blore)
its very nice suv car, I ilke so much.
I am just liking icet too much! a new birth of force at one strike with a Germany + china + British Engineering = FORCE ONE! India

This vehicle looks quite good, although designing clues have been borrowed from quite a few vehicles (CRV, Lexus) but the overall effect is quite well propositioned and the vehicle is surely a good choice, I just miss the ABS on this.

Do you want an in-dash system that’s integrated to your car’s music system or a standalone device? For standalone’s Garmin devices are good (avg around Rs. 15,000). Firstly it’s a great car, gorgeous looks, Good at Heart, comfortable and Safe.Available in both petrol and diesel. What ruins it is the dealer and the service network. Lackof confidence from buyers.Ruined further with stupid marketing campaign. What stopped mefrom buying the Linea was the turning radius. In pune it’s more difficult to park cars than…[Read more]
Linea has a good design and decent features except for the shorter headroom at the rear. And the service outlet and A.S.S should be improved more to raise up their sales else Verna and Fiesta will murder it.(Anyway its half murderd now hee hee)
Fiat Linea is a gud looking car. Two, it has an excellent ride. Three it is a ‘BIG’ car in fact it is as big as the Toyota Corolla Altis and the Honda Civic. And what is equally important is that it has an excellent diesel engine. But,yet the sales suffer bcoz after sales service is not gud,the resale value also not gud….But until Fiat resolves…[Read more]
1 simple suggestion…. SEPARATE FROM TATA!!!! THEY ARE SCREWING WITH U BIG TIME!!!…. if that happens fiat can definitely be very close to the top. they were the first to give amazing features lik bluetooth and climate control etc in hatchbacks (punto) at a time wen hatchbacks looked lik and were considered a cheap, middle-class, use and throw…[Read more]
Man, I had shortlisted this machine i.e. Emotion Diesel, after a long research & advice.. n now this post…im totally confusedd.. yet again…
very well said aravind…
I strongly disagree, Linea is not a bad car, slighty underpowered yes, but bad no way, The dynamics of the car are excellent, I think Fiat has to get their PR and promotion right, Linea is a very good car, the only reason it seems to be a bad buy is resale value. I would compare the Linea Diesel with the Corolla Diesel, same satisfying experience,…[Read more]
I wonder if fiat is satisfied just supplying engines for the Indian car makers which rake in the big bucks for them…I drive a palio and love it (despite the fuel effciency)…i love the New linea T-JET…and have been waiting for a diesel….but the thing is….FIAT first needs to flood the markets with spares…and then build a service…[Read more]
Fiat’s inability to put in place a good quality after-sales service network despite being in the country for 14 years has left customers wondering about the company’s commitment to Indian market. I’m happy with my T-Jet and the services offered so far, and that’s what matters to me
I feel it’s a fantastic car.
I agree. All Fiat cars for that matter are great cars…. The only real problem is the sloppy after sales service…… and consequently resale value….. Honda cars only do well because of the impeccable service…. The build quality of Fiat is always miles ahead of any Honda…..
Fiat tried to set right these shortcomings with the T-Jet which is a great car and could have taken on the Honda City. But, as you said, after sales service has been the Linea’s biggest stumbling block.
I agree… Even I own a Fiat Linea… Love this car in all aspects expect the service part. Fist should do something for this…
dont think too much..I would say it wont let u down so badly as presented here..jus go for it.
What would you expect if you ask tata to sell it ? Can’t think of a linea customer walking into a tata showroom where most sales-person are complete backward thinking idioten
Saumya, agree to Ram. It is good! One tip – just chk the ground clearance to suit your needs. That’s it!
Absolutely! Ride quality, build, comfort – unmatched
I too shortlisted the Di Em+, however, couldn’t resist T-Jet after I drove it
hey thanks guys..few points :
1. The T-Jet is Petrol – Diesel I feel is a sensible buy today as the fuel prices are rising..
2. Yea the after sales – not only in terms of Sales & service.. but I also m wondering that are the parts really affordable.. or are they highly priced.. because if that’s the case then its just nothing but slow poision..…[Read more]

Why I also chose the P over D is in the TD ‘D’ vehicle which had clocked abt 18k kms, I felt engine vibrations / heavy clutch – and all prev cars I’v had P .. so wasn’t too sure abt D maintenance etc. Infact this TJet cost me more than D Em+
Its like, if you tell TATA to sell your products, might as well say tata to your brand !,hehe
Saumya, go ahead and by the emotion pack, underpowered is all bull shit, take a test drive and decide, I know you will love the car, we are not F1 drivers…, the mid range is excellent, you will not find it underpowered, initial turbo lag, but you learn to live with it..
lol ! some dealers though r trying to create a little FIAT lounge area .. with cushioned sofa’s etc
Do what honda did slash price.break up with tata.
I had a lot of apprehension when I thought about the Altis Diesel , But after the trial ,I was in Love, Trust me the same thing will happen with your Linea, I am already considering buying the Linea Emotion with option pack as my second car, My Dad loves it. and You are welcome bud.
problem with T-Jet, and Laura TFSI, after you try them, everything else will feel underpowered, so my advise is dont, no matter what they say, the moment you push it, it is going to burn a hole in your pocket, you cannot drive these cars slow, it is sacrilege, if someone else is paying for your fuel, T-Jet, but resale values will be bad, even…[Read more]
