I think Ankur wants a sedan or hatchback car, not an SUV
Swift Till date,Etios diesel cmng next month,Then of course Etios
Dude my vote is a bit out of league but I believe its quite practical.1. Indigo cs.. Power.. Space.. Comfort.. Mileage.. Light on pocket..You should definitely check it out.If space is a good concern then Swift is the most suck ass choice..
If mileage could be compromised a bit and you want a rugged vehicle then even Bolero is a great choice.I live in hills n I knw its a great performer where roads are seldom present.
Dude go for Swift Dzire VDi model or js wait a while for Etios Diesel…They both are value for money and it will worth ur every bucks….
u wont got all these in one bcs every manufacturer has its own specification…….if u wana hatch than go for SWIfT VDI….and not for INDIGO CS (A TAXI) otherwise go for dezire……2 seconds ago

Go for Fiat Punto 90 HP. Take a test drive and then decide. If not go for Fabia. European cars are build with sence.
Fiat’s MJD is well built and has a combo of Power and mileage so you have choices of the New swift,Tata Vista,Fiat Punto,All are good performers and have sense.Indigo e-cs with CR4 engine is a good option and no one here knows about the real comfort in it.Its good unless you try that(my neigbour is very happy with his 6 month old vehicle & he…[Read more]

prefer maruti suzuki if u are not time barred.. Or else go with figo.. And also check etios, etios liva.. They r soon coming in diesel variant..
Manza PERIOD!
WHY MANZA.
Engine Specs = SX4,
Cabin Space = best, whale of space & legroom.
interiors = not bad at all.
maintenance = very economical.
fuel efficiency = 17/18 local, 21/22 highways.
In hatch bag car segment figo is the best option becoz it is value for money and performance and pricing is really amazing if u compare other cars in this segment.
FIAT punto
Tata indigo Manza
india’s most fuel efficient car
Punto
for driving pleasure go fr punto…. and fr overall requirements polo suits d most…
90HP Punto! No doubt about it!
no dought only swift.
Toyota etios diesel 1.4 d4d is coming this month the same engine of corolla altis diesel 1.4 d4d which is right now 15lacs plus but if its planned in etios it will be 7 lac’s bracket with a sedan car and not the hatch car.
and on the top of is etios is 20kpl plus mileage!
driving the nissan micra xv diesel for 1.5 months now. mileage will increase with more use.
1. Grande punto: good car but bad service and spares backup.
2. Polo: aged and unrefined diesel engine and not enough features or space to justify the price.
3. i20 sports: one of the best vfm cars in the market today but shld. make sure to get extended warranty as hyundai turbos fail sometimes, most powerful engine in this category.
4. Indica…[Read more]

new maruti swift zdi.
when u go for this in ur car?
I fully agree with you
Not so hard to answer, but its hard for him to decide…
First ask him how much money he can approximately spend willingly for his car when he is gonna purchase…. Then the service bills he can hope to invest during the service times of the car… Like the routine diesel cars service cost… Then work it out…. I m damn sure that this will give Ankur Sharma something to worry but, its actually for his…[Read more]
VW Polo service cost at 15000 kms is Rs 8000/-….. Then Fiat Punto, the top model is 7 lakhs which comes with all features(compaerd to Polo, Polo is a waste), service is Rs 5000/ per 15000 kms….. Next I would suggest is Toyota Etios Liva Diesel, which is infact a very light diesel car, has poor features, but practically the best city car and…[Read more]
The last car is Figo… The city diesel car… Impressive handling in the city and highway, nice boot space(bigger than Liva), and the top model cost is at just 6lakhs only… great space and nice practical features for everyday use…. Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time
Amruth Ganesh LOL
Even the ARAI certified mileage is lesser than that
what’s the meaning of carpool?
Akash Shetty go google it
Smartly use the AC means we should avoid keeping AC ON on signals, you can also keep AC power at min here… lower rpm lower AC…at higher rpm it doesn’t matter
thanks DWS for nice tips.
Even Better, Keep the Damn Rickshaws off the road, No congestion, No road rage, No frustrated Drivers, No Bottle necks, even the BEST drivers are very calm and better fuel average, I realised our problem really is Very High percentage of Idiots on the Street, and not an inadequate road infrastructure.
I try to switch off engine when stopping at a light or when not in use for more than 1 min. I try to avoid minimum use of AC. This can also help in saving some amount of fuel.
gud thinking g.
MY CITY GIVES 17-18 AVERAGE….
Bye Bicycle…. good exercise…. no petrol… no toll… no pollution…. no parking charges…

same experience here…
My Honda City 2010 is more efficient than my Hyundai I10 (1.2 kappa) 2009…
From i10 i can get max. 17 km/ltr (with WIDER TYRE set)..
Its all depends upon the Engine’s Power to Weight Ratio, Tyres, Gear ratio, Aerodynamics, Suspensions etc. etc.
@Abhi Jeet,@Amruth Ganesh,@Ajay Srinivas Raghavan…
Did YOU ever have a chance to drive HONDA CITY i-vetec (NEW model)??
Dont confuse between Honda CITY and Honda CIVIC…
ARAI approved CITY for 16.6 Km/ltr
and CIVIC for 11.2 KM/Ltr.
And for your KIND INFORMATION, i will soon upload the Photo of my HONDA City’s Digital meter showing more…[Read more]
Carpool: if more than one persons daily travelling from same way than instead of using separate vehicle use one
interesting to read but very difficult to follow.
thanxs nice tips.
let me follow it……….
Best useful Tips.
I too get 17.5 kmpl sometimes from my honda city iv tec.
drivin at de speed of 40-50 wil give u gr8 milage…
Alto k10 owners are still, least worried..!!!
Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….
And better, dont use performance kits and filters… they can drink the petrol sometimes that when you sometimes hit above 90 or above, the efficiency might be way below 20 sometimes…
24.6 kmpl on verna crdi 1.6- highway
29.3 kmpl on highway for my new Dzire VDi & 25.7 kmpl in city driving… following all the tips for fuel efficiency. Never drive above 80kmph.
Could u give me an idea about fuel injector cleaners. How to use them and their price?. Thanks in advance.
