a sporty hatchback….n more advanced then the Alto in mileage n engine performance. more over the design of the car gives it a sporty look n price is also similar to that of Alto. so I think its definitely going to make it in the market.

well I think if Eon will be properly priced den surely people will prefer Eon den Alto as Eons eng is poweful compare to alto also mileage is also better den alto overall exterior and interior is better den alto…..In Eon they are provinding many features like Hyundai will likely offer more comfort and convenience features such as central…[Read more]

Misleading article. The picture is that of Alto K10 and the comparison is done with Alto Std. The Alto K10 comes with 68 bhp K-Series engine, which is silk smooth, for a 3 pot motor. The power to weight ratio of K10 is almost that of SX4. It drives very smooth and looks good too. Not sure if EON can cause any dent in that segment. Pricing a new…[Read more]

Confused…………..Just when EON is DISCUSSED, CERVO is coming in November. as October is approaching, Hyundai should give Press Release to clear the doubt. till now, Hyndai has not given any HINT about EON, till now everything is just SPECULATION ONLY, REAL BUYERS SHOULD WAIT TILL ANNOUNCEMENT IS MADE & VARIANTS & SPECIFICATIONS ARE RELEASED…[Read more]

Every thing be same or better than Alto K10 in Eon, but it can not beat it in mileage…i just bought a new Alto K10 and on my trip of 650 km it gave me a mileage of around 25 although I used AC for almost 200 km…so I feel mileage is where Alto k10 beats Eon…n also K10 give a feel of maruti Zen and which I almost will buy if they ever lauch it…

HYUNDAI..U CANNOT DO THE SUZUKI THING…it will not able to dent alto sales, moreover, it cheap version does not have ac and power sterling then u better buy a nano with ac…Hyundai sales are down, new vehicle seat quality is also not good…compared to suzuki new alto..eon team has to do much hard work in marketing and product placement..

well for one thing, hope the engine doesnot get faulty like the ” irde ” 1st ones in i10. secondly on the bright side, it’s got to be more safer than the touch and smash alto proportions, impressive looks and mileage figures. waitin eagerly :)

Eon low end model starts with 2.69 L ( ex -show room price + no AC + no Power windows + no music system + no central locking) + approx. 40 K for RTO and insurance.. The just next version with Ac is priced at 2.91 L ( ex-showroom).

On the positive side, Eon has the most beautiful sleek design and interiors. Something Alto lacks completely. When I compare the looks of Eon and Alto, an Alto seems to me like a packaging box.
        rather than a ‘CaR’.

Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time

Smartly use the AC means we should avoid keeping AC ON on signals, you can also keep AC power at min here… lower rpm lower AC…at higher rpm it doesn’t matter

Even Better, Keep the Damn Rickshaws off the road, No congestion, No road rage, No frustrated Drivers, No Bottle necks, even the BEST drivers are very calm and better fuel average, I realised our problem really is Very High percentage of Idiots on the Street, and not an inadequate road infrastructure.

I try to switch off engine when stopping at a light or when not in use for more than 1 min. I try to avoid minimum use of AC. This can also help in saving some amount of fuel.

        same experience here…

My Honda City 2010 is more efficient than my Hyundai I10 (1.2 kappa) 2009…

From i10 i can get max. 17 km/ltr (with WIDER TYRE set)..

Its all depends upon the Engine’s Power to Weight Ratio, Tyres, Gear ratio, Aerodynamics, Suspensions etc. etc.

Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….

And better, dont use performance kits and filters… they can drink the petrol sometimes that when you sometimes hit above 90 or above, the efficiency might be way below 20 sometimes… :P :P
