Absolutely Chevy beat diesel! What are your main needs or concern?
Liva makes sense only if you want lots of space above everything else. in everything else, beat diesel scores quite well.
@Vishwas Bharadwaj: Main needs…… a car costing around 6 lakh’s and which is stylish , comfortable and nice handling within the given price i.e 6 lakhs
@Babychen Mathew: Than Q for suggesting……….
Also consider figo diesel…Quite good than the beat Diesel….
beat
Liva, if you dnt mind the cheap looking interiors.
I just saw some new cars launching in 2012 don’t know to postpone or to go with Beat Diesel…….and thanks for the suggestions..
eat diesel makes most sense, else buy Ritz na its also a good vehicle!
Thanks
Firstly buying a diesel car would be a very wise choice, if you can spare the money
If you are choosing between CNG and LPG choose on the basis of pumps. If LPG is readily available in your city then go for LPG otherwise opt for CNG. (CNG is safer
)If you put CNG in your existing car it will work out to be very economical and with the rising…[Read more]
@Rishabh P Nair…Thanx buddy. Buying a new car wud mean shelling out 4 to 5 lacs ..where else CNG kit wud cost me 30K…so very economical n best…what say?
Yup
lpg is liqufied so is under much less pressure than cng which is compressed. anything compressed is under much larger pressure, i.e.heavier n larger tank.
with 2000kms a month i recovered the cost of my kit in less than 3-4 months!!!
@Carl Mistry..LPG is liquified..true but it seems CNG is lighter than air..and vanishes quickly than LPG. LPG forms lumps in the tank which is very dangerous. 2ndly..there is lot of difference int he average of LPG and CNG. CNG gives better average than LPG.
cng
lpg is SAFER, rest is upto u
Toyota Fortuner is the best car for long term reliability. There’s a new fortuner faclift coming this Auto expo 2012,have a look at it then Decide, for an comfortable 7 seater in that category why not consider Innova?
wait for new launches in 2012… For long term reliability… I’ve seen 15yrs old pajero working in a superb condition… Fortuner is no doubt a great vehicle and so is endeavour.. U cud also get cheaper options like innova or aria or the new xuv
THNX ALL 4 UR PRICIOUS TIME & OF UR CMMENT ….. XUV500 HAS NOT THAT DURABILITY I THINT SOOO THE HUMER IN MKT HAS BEEN UPDATED, THATS WHY AM NOT GOING 4 XUV 500 ,, OR IN RIGHT NOW XUV HAVE A WATING OF 6 MONTS & PRICE OF XUV HAS DECLARED TO 18 L … SO ITS NOT VERTHIE … OR INNOVA AM NOT SATISFIE BECZ ALL CABBIE HAVE INNOVA AND THATS NOT A SUV 4…[Read more]
ya endavour is best optn..
Both Fortuner and And endevour is good options one is a japenese and another an Amercian
endavour is the evergreen car.. ,
yus hould by an endeavour bcaus it hs 7 seats
fortuner
Toyota is known for its reliability &comfortable cars. &on other hand Ford is known for high maintainance cost &gr8 handling cars. Now its up to u to decide. My pick vl b Fortuner. As its resale vl b also high compared to endeavour.
I would suggest for XUV 500 ,You will get 2 xuv in same price
This is quite a tough question. I ve seen 10 year old Endys going strong in India and the Fortuner too is known for its reputation to last. Ford spares “were” expensive but off late there has been a lot of cost optimisation by Ford. You should actually take a close look at both and then decide. If you want an automatic, the Endy with its 5 speed…[Read more]
Both of them are great cars, however at under 7 lakh you will get a 90 Bhp i20 against a 75 Bhp Punto, as the Punto 90 Bhp will cost you a little more.Hyundai has a wider service network while Fiat’s service is handled by Tata and many people have had problems. I personally have a Linea and have faced no issues with Service. I think you should…[Read more]
i20 has better headroom for rear passengers, has big boot space and backed by reliable sales & service network. Go for i20 !
thanks a lot , but car offers more features. …
?Yogesh Pawar- please consider the above comments before choosing..
what car offers more features and less on maintenance….
Feature for feature, the Hyundai i20 offers more, but there’s no arguing with the style and handling of the Punto. Overall, though the Hyundai i20 diesel may probably give you a bit more bang for your buck.
Punto is a sensible buy if you don’t care about its A.S.S.
Punto 90 is cheaper, better to drive, has some unique features and is inexpensive to maintain but Service quality depends on the dealer.. I20 offers more features and has better service coverage.
the nly cars which look cooler than punto are the masserati and aston. Punto has unmatched styling and superior sporty handling. Though i20 offers more space and a wider and reliable service network. If u dnt plan a resale for ur car after sum years then go buy a punto
italian vs korean???? any friggin day italian!
Thanks all, but need a clear pic,
Test Drive @ i20 Sportz & Punto Emotion! Get to know the pleasure & power
punto really superb
i20
I would suggest you to go ith nissan sunny because fiat is too high on maintance. Ur overall cost of ownership will be much less with Nissan sunny. If u can wait for about a month or two nissan sunny will be launched in diesel variants also.
for how many years are you planning to keep the car Nikhil?
This tool helps you to decide between petrol and diesel:i made the comparo using this tool and it gave Linea to me as the EMI’s are low. Both the companies have pretty bad A.S.S but Somewhere Linea raises its hand because its merger with Tata which has 2nd largest service network,so Linea seems to be a better buy.
Whoa dude… even Nissan’s ASS sucks… and they have very little service centres, moreover linea for sure is a head turner and is a comfortable vehicle moreover you could get it serviced across india as tata services it and u always know, diesel saves you money…
Thanks for the update people…@Aravind: I’m planning to use for 4 years easily…Any other suggestions?
go for rapid diesel
honda city is best
the car with same engine as linea, and relatively cheaper to maintain and no horror stories of A.S.S is Maruti SX4 diesel… its a value for moneythough if u don’t mind the brand image then the cheaper tata manza runs on the same engine as linea, its a spacious car with awesome features and good build quality..
if ur goin for petrol sedan dn look no futher other than CITY..its best petrol car ever..&if going for diesel go for LINEA MJT its feature rich, spacious &also its ride n handling is also good.but 1 thing bare in mind dt it has low grnd clearance.dts all.®ardin other sedan also look out for SX4 diesel or newly launched RAPID TDI.
wait patiently to get your Swift..
afterall a few months waiting will lead to 4-5 years of pleasurable drive in your Swift..
VDI have bad brakes go for swift only for ZDI variant,or buy i20
swift dsl
thanks for ur thoughts…does any1 knows….. what is the maintenance cost for both the cars and the on road mileage…..
both d cars r best in each &every aspects. If u loves driving dn go for swift &if a feature rich &comfortable highway car dn go for i20. D mileage of d two r also same or +, -®arding maintanance cost i20 has slightly more, but u can bare it. &only 1 thing swift has problm dt it rattles. But not in i20.
I20 is way better than the liva,in all terms like awesome engine, best equipments and safety features,Liva only tops on fuel efficiency
Go for the i20 Magna
one thing i can point out is the flaws in it r handling around corners and ride quality is a bit bumpy…but rest all areas totally awsum
i 20 BEST
i20
if its for daily commute and if you are okay with Ritz design (rear), go ahead with Ritz diesel. It has same reliable engine as in Swift, can give a mileage of 17 kmpl and also has low maintenance cost (being Maruti). But if you are ready to wait for a couple of months, you can go for the Swift. Chevy Beat diesel is best only if you are on a…[Read more]
Ritz will be a better options and it brings lower cost on maintenance, and great mileage being a diesel one,Chevy beat is also a good option,if you carry four people on-board.
thnx both for suggestions!is maruti planning a facelift 4 ritz in near future?
Nope, there seems to be no clue so far the Ritz facelift
k..
go 4 figo
swift dsl
so if i had to select b/wRITZ ldi n SWIFT ldi, which wud u all recommend??
swift any model have 4-6 months waiting, you can get ritz in 1 month max. but swift is nice car.
if u fancy german engineering,go for vw polo..if u can wait for swift go for swift…but if all u need is a practical family hatchback,go for the figo..which is a superb car with an excellent engine..
Thanx sandy………
No problem,i own a ford figotdci zxi and i would advice you to go for it..:)
Okay 40kms per day, petrol will be good, then if your budget is above 5 lakhs,Polo is good for 2 passengers at front, rear seat is a bit cramped where many people(especially old gen) will find it difficult to settle,so if you travel with 4 passengers,Hyundai i10 Sportz,i20 Magna will be good,Figo is also good and spacious interiors is a boon, swift is…[Read more]
polo
Thanx guys… Going for test drive, coming week. Will check out and hopefully satisfy myself.
Polo is the best car ..but i think u cant get for 5.5 …n mileage is around 18 in city ..
But why did, polo flop in the market, when ford figo is still racking up good sales figures for ford? Polo is not well engineered for indian conditions..
Polo is doing well considerably mainly because the delay in giving swift by MS,they are not taken by people for 3 pot engine
Yes, but petrol is also rising. figo comes under 5.5 to 6 lacs of budget. I’ve checked Skoda fabia is also comes similar price tag. What says about these cars.
