Whoa that’s a lot of comparison.Well here it goes:1) If you like sporting very much on the road or off the road and need a vehicle which adds to utility then Bolero is a good option2) Want a no-nonsense sporty diesel hatchback? Punto 90 HP is a great buy3) Want a vehicle with driving pleasure and a status of owning a sedan which also is a fuel…[Read more]
@vishwas: Thx…..
@Rishabh: sporty driving + space + mileage + low on maintenance
@Rishabh: lol thank you:P
fiesta.. mileage 27…
27 ah??chanceless!!
it does i hve driven
Punto 90 if diesel or fiesta 1.6 if petrol.
everything is diesel only… no petrol at this point of time:S
i20 has low maintenance..and good mileage..and rocking pickup..but fiesta rocks..but maintenance seems to be little bit higher after one yr.
fiesta’s comfort is uncomparable with any car..the whole road is ur’s..u rule the road if u own an fiesta..(but it depends on ur ride).
well said…. fiesta rues……….
yea.
anything is better than bolero
Polo or Fiesta Classic
wait …
Must wait
if u book now i ll get more discouts, bt in 2012 u ll get less discounts only.. but for resale value wnt get hit if u buy it in 2011 end.. u decide
u better wait…
Hi Vikas, could you be specific as to which type of car or budget you have in mind? because 2012 will bring in a couple of concepts and around 30 new cars. However, it would be worth the wait only if cars are launched in the segment you are planning to buy
wait for 2012 as there are many cars of which launches are in que
?@ aravind….hi my budget is 7-10 lakhs….lukng for a sedan diesel car….
sx4 might b a best deal fr u… almost lik a luxury car
Vento is the best bet.. it lacks some features when compared to Verna.. But ovrall good car n VW brand image… Choose a German car..u will feel the difference…
Hi Vikas Agarwal – check this outhttp://www.cartoq.com/13-sedans-you-will-see-at-the-2012-delhi-auto-expo/
Hi arvind ….Thnx for d informtn….Wht abt suv’s….will dere be ne launch b/w 7-10 lakhs….
Well if you need more of comfort than styling better to go with Innova, reliable, comfort, best quality and decent engine, but if need a real SUV to spin around XUV is awesome for more features and at reasonable price, better for Innova
Okay I was actually considering totota innova its for my family I won’t b driving it much..I have an i20 1.4…any thoughts abt difference between euro 3 version & euro 4 version does it matter euro 3 is cheaper was considering that..any advice?
You shd give the Tata Safari a thought too. Its better than the Innova or the XUV. Tho’ the XUV has killer looks the Safari has an awesome feel. It really makes u feel u r in a Main Battle Tank.
If you reside in non-Euro 4 city, you can get Euro 3,its basic purpose is to reduce pollution levels, well if you live in metros, you have to get euro-4 emission ed vehicle. And be sure euro-4 will have more resale value than the preceeding one
Okay..thnx..I’m done with tata brand..I had an indica & I’m not keen with it again..jst within a year all kinds of noise frm everywhere
just go for xuv!
else scorpio!
Ill wait for the innova refreshed…enquired today only top end model with ABS n that’s for 15lacs which is way too high for the features offered
Then Consider XUV know,it offers a lot of features than Innova, try the W8 variant, its round 14.30 lacs
Okay..love the captain seats though on d innova
Innova is better .
ill delay the purchase to end of jan nxt year….till more more full reviews of XUV come up
10 lakh – Vento, Verna 1.4 diesels. SX4 diesel is a bit old but otherwise a good car. If you can wait, you will get the Sunny diesel in3 months’ time. Lots of space.
fiesta classic best in class… mileage 32kmpl
Thanks Guys, how is the performance of vento diesel? Does it score over verna?
i feel vento and sx4 r the best cars in this range. the vento is definitely a better car to drive than the verna. the engine is very powerful, very comfortable to drive in city and simply awesome on highways. though on paper the verna 1.6 has 20 more bhp, the suspension and chassis is not good enough to cope wid the power so its pointless. verna is…[Read more]
Thanks Anupam for ur response, I have test driven verna diesel, it looks nice, got a high level of equipment list but I felt it lacks the driving pleasure of vento. After reading ur review I think vento diesel would be a value for money car, I drive mostly on highways so I think vento would be the ideal choice
are you going for petrol or diesel. If petrol, the Figo is a little under powered and may not suit especially for highway driving. If diesel, both Figo and Micra are good, but Figo comes with a lesser price tag but more features while Micra comes with all goodies at a higher price tag.
Rear window in Figo doesn’t fully roll down – thats TRUE
Try Figo if price is your concern,if you don’t mind about stretching a little bit then there are more of good vehicles than Micra, say for eg.,Punto,i20 etc
if u r looking for diesel then go for ford figo.becoz nissan micra giving useless option these is no use of that in daily day today life.only wastage of money
Figo is spacious, value for money.. and Micra is premium, European style and quality. It depends on which is more important for you.
go fr micra
its a nyc car thn figo it hs btr design btr features
but yu want diesel thn go for figo bcaus figo hs btr in diesel as micra diesel yu get only in tp variant and yu dont get ABS in tht
and apassenger air bag also yu dnt get
micra
go for figo man
Figo is very reasonable to maintain. No maintenance issues. Its great to drive and good mileage. Feels good to won the same.
Yes its good
Surabh Sahay, try to buy vehicles which are not more than 3 years old. When cars are too old (in your case 7 years) , though single driven, we may not know how many more kms you can drive without any major repair.. just my thought..
54k and 7 years is actually too much for a petrol car, that model also looks aged so better to avoid it.Take your time and Increase your budget to get a old Toyota Corolla or civic which are better cars or get a new petrol Swift or any other similar car and enjoy the hassle-free ownership for next 5-6 years.
no dont go for it…! since city wont give that mileage
go for the verna wont go wrong with it…avoid volswagen higher maintainance costs
swift dsl
Etios
What is your priority?
ford fiesta classic or i20
How is i20 as a car??
ritz vdi……….
these r the options under 7.5 lakhs – 1) polo tdi – excellent ride-handling. spacious. classy. very good engine, but lacks features. and less service stations 2) i20 – spacious, big car feel, features, good engine + power. but lacks handling and high speed stability. ride quality is good but not as good as say polo or punto. 3) fabia – same as…[Read more]
tata manza
yu should go fr i20 diesel asta or sportz mdl definately
I would say Punto 1.3 and ose over Swift if you are seeking performance. But if you need a lot of features and with same swift engine Indica Vista is good
I would shortlist – POLO – VW badge, great handling and control, better fit n finish of interiors, almost rattle-free.Fabia – luxurious and spacious feeling inside the car, great handling.Punto (90 HP) – Nice performer.
go for volkswagen polo aur skoda fabia.and tata manza polo gives in 1200cc with 75 bhp power.mileage is near about 17kmpltr.same engine features is in skoda fabia. but if we talk about tata manza that gives in 1248 cc 90 bhp power.n mileage is much impressive.according to me u should go for volkswagen polo tdi
Punto 90..
fiesta classic
nissan micra
Thx guys…. 4 ol ur sgstns
What do you think about Cruze? It comes close. Good driver’s car. Rear seat is OK, but that is subjective – you may find it perfectly fine.
Not seeing many of them on the road and I wonder why… But I would definitely read more about it and take a test drive. Chevrolet is not my fav brand still
Any other options (including SUVs/MUVs)
Hey, dwsauto blog’s search box/button needs some styling man. I didn’t locate it easily though it was right there on top
It needs to be taller too
You should do it, here in Delhi Cruze is a hit. Considered very macho! Great torque and power figures. XUV is another option, but maybe its a bit too new to be confident about. And of course waiting periods are long. We are getting it for 2 days from tomorow, so will have a good idea about it by Friday! Take a look at our Cruze review video…[Read more]
I just have one suggestion… the Cruze, no other car in that segment beats, has everything you want!
?Ajith Prasad Edassery My opinion is that you shouldnt go after your poor experience with Chevy in US. India is a totally different market, different cars.. Cruze is an excellent car and if you were staying in Kerala, you might have noticied it is the best selling car in that segment.
Thanks for your suggestion Nirmal. Need to test drive it soon. I hope I get a buyer for a petrol drinking Altis so I can switch soon
Babychen, thanks for the video review. It talks about noisy engine but need to test drive to feel how much of it gets in the cabin. Also, at 2.43 I didn’t quite get to see if there’s a protrusion (like old rear…[Read more]
Yes, noisy engine etc are pretty subjective. You don’t want to wait a bit longer for the XUV500?
I could wait, but from what I see in reviews, it is already a disappointment for the price. I didn’t quite like the way it’s designed
May be expecting too much for that price lol.. My ideal car would have been a Skoda Yeti 4×4 reduced by 2L in price lol
Aha – but that is in the works. They are coming out with a 4×2 Yeti. We dont know the date, thats all
wait for the XUV reviews and a new cruze is coming in the year end..u couldnt go wrong with cruze
bhai logo suno for long n short run n any case swift disel is best n cheap
Ok, will test drive XUV as well. Swift Diesel does not satisfy my space and comfort requirements. Any thoughts on lower end Laura
Cruze has a hump in the floor at the back – confirmed.
?…as I feared
Have you done Laura Diesel review?
Not yet, but there are some who know the car well – will get them into this thread. XUV with us by 12 noon today for 2 days so will have a good idea very soon
Just test drive the new VW Jetta before any decision.
etta is a good car too. With VW Polo sales zooming, they may concentrate on the after sales aspect now
Ajith, the Jetta is a decent car as well. Laura too has a transmission tunnel intrusion in the rear seat. That’s something you’ll have to live with in almost all the sedans in this class. As far as fun quotient goes, the Cruze is the best of the lot, followed closely by the Laura Elegance (140 bhp). However, Laura will be over your budget, while…[Read more]
Thanks @Roshun… I guess, after test driving with family, I have to arrive at a decision. Biggest problem is getting rid of the Corolla with the kind of petrol prices prevailing
fiesta classic best in class… 32kmpl
WagonR.
i10 and Beat are very close, and often it is a personal choice based on looks. Hyundai has a larger service network, but Chevrolet is not bad either. Spacewise Beat is very slightly ahead of the i10.
ok
according to ur priorities, i10 fits the bill perfectly. beat does hav zero maintenance for 3 years etc but chevy isn’t best in service satisfaction. i10 has all these bases covered.
Drive both the cars, there is no major difference between the two. I find the Beat a better car to drive, while the back seats of the i10 seem more comfy
comparing bth the cars i10 hs more space i10 and beat bth hv good maintainence in terms of service i10 is btr. But beat has more btr design thn i10,its interiors are goood esspecially its speedometer and i10 is avry cmn car among the roads. i think yu should go for beat as bth have same power. now its yr decision which one yu want
THANXX ALOT GUYS…
so yu went to showroom
will go at diwali..
chevy or hyundai
micra
most probably hyundai
nissan showrooms r very less n there service also is nt dat gud..
figo
figo
That’s a tough choice, but maruti ritz drives on a much better diesel engine.
ritz any day !!!
Both are good Vehicle, however Figo has a lesser Ground Clearance compared to Ritz and I think Mileage is better with Ritz.
I really appreciate each n every comment. Thanks guyz…
go for ford figio titanium
