Hi Ganpat, couple of things i would like to add here. First the offer does look mouth watering at first glance. Linea is a beauty and nice car to drive, check the service history of the car and check if they have multiple owners. 4 yrs 88k is too much, check the tire condition i am sure they need to be replaced. If all this fits good i don’t think…[Read more]

Some things to note – Insurance may need renewal soon (15 – 20k), 90k service will be a multiple of 30k where all fluids and filters need a change (around 8k), the timing chain 60k replacement (around 7k), the battery may have come for replacement (around 5k) and so may be the condition of the tires (20 – 25k). There may be other things apart from…[Read more]

The three contenders are clear here. The D90 if you want VFM, the i20 if you want a long feature list (not necessarily features which are highly useful), the Punto if you want a drivers car and on a product to product comparison the best you can buy. Regards.

        88 – Load rating – 560 kg per tire and H – Speed rating – 210 kph.

They use a max of 185 section tire and 5.5J alloy, unsure about the speed and load rating but it may be lower or equal to 88H.

Width of the alloy in inches – In simple words the Punto gets 6.5 inch wide alloys where others are using 5.5 inch wide alloys, just another example of cost cutting. Lower speed and load rating also reduce the price of the tire for the manufacturer. Which buyer goes to check these things? People usually discuss other features and forget that tires…[Read more]

Surely wider alloy/tire gets a good grip on the road, but on the other hand it will reduce the Fuel efficiency and puts lot more load to the engine when in motion.

Unfortunately it is true only if the vehicle is horribly over-tired otherwise such a tire profile is better for traction. A quick physics recall may make you realize that the contact patch remains the same since P=F/A, its more about the tire compound and tread pattern that makes more of a difference. A vehicles behavior is more influenced by the…[Read more]

I know Coorg pretty well and the Storme should do well on those roads, however, keep in mind that there are a lot of roads/trails in Coorg which are narrow and the Storme’s width could pose a problem there. Take a detailed test drive on the kind of roads you would drive and then decide.
