Hi Ganpat, couple of things i would like to add here. First the offer does look mouth watering at first glance. Linea is a beauty and nice car to drive, check the service history of the car and check if they have multiple owners. 4 yrs 88k is too much, check the tire condition i am sure they need to be replaced. If all this fits good i don’t think…[Read more]
Hi, this seems like a decent deal to me, we shall connect on fb and have a word, am open to having an honest talk with you. Regards.
Some things to note – Insurance may need renewal soon (15 – 20k), 90k service will be a multiple of 30k where all fluids and filters need a change (around 8k), the timing chain 60k replacement (around 7k), the battery may have come for replacement (around 5k) and so may be the condition of the tires (20 – 25k). There may be other things apart from…[Read more]
Gorgeous Beauty The Fiat Grande Punto 90 hp……
Consider Hyundai i20, FIAT Punto 90 & Tata Vista D90 which wud fulfill ur demands…. amng this, D90 will be my pick since it offers good amnt of space, comforts & features which makes it a true VFM hatchback in the premium segment…. Regards
^^^ Agree with Nithish .if you want Spacious Hatch then also cosider Vista D90…it more Spacious feature rich VFM Hatch than Punto & I20…
The three contenders are clear here. The D90 if you want VFM, the i20 if you want a long feature list (not necessarily features which are highly useful), the Punto if you want a drivers car and on a product to product comparison the best you can buy. Regards.
If you are not stuck only for hatch back and power is what you are looking for, i would suggest you check Ford’s ecosport
I completely agree with @Amit
i20 crdi is an all rounder. it gives you best refined diesel engine, 90 hp power and full of features and luxurious spacious.
punto is a solid built & built to last…….punto will be my choice
Everybody likes punto, but everybody tends to buy other than punto like i20/swift/figo etc which is fact because we hardly see any punto on road..what is the reason??
Ashu You r R8….even i also like Punto but only b4 3 months i ourchased Vista VX…
Here is an answer of a lighter note, please do (or) NOT take it seriously.
The Punto is the hot girl from college everyone wants to date and marry but being concerned about society / family / friends (and their opinions) people end up dating and marrying the supposedly cultural / socially acceptable etc girl (typically a Swift / i20, the great…[Read more]
Well Said @Amit.. i agree with you… and now we should really stop fighting for i20 and Punto..each one has their own choice..i request this to all the members
Its not a fight!
Its just way too funny when people with half or extremely poor knowledge try to sum things up. I am just trying to help the really poor knowledge which has come from sales people or random internet sources, in essence its not first hand information. I have a car from both brands and hold nothing for or against any brand. But…[Read more]
I love also Punto but one thing still i cant understand Why Sales of Fiat (Punto & Linea) is Low ???
Hi Abhijeet, since there is so much negativity that people easily get access to from others who have no experience of Fiat, it tends to affect the buying decision at the moment when we sign on the dotted line. It even happened to me, though I was and am thoroughly convinced about the product, just before going out on so many lakhs even I had…[Read more]
@ Abhijeet ..visit Team-Bhp.com and read reviews on fiat punto, you will come to know why it is owned by fewer.
or go through the review posted by cartoq.com on fiat punto and than make up the mind.
Team BHP is a heavily moderated forum, hope you know that and understand what it means. Owner reviews here say exactly what I say, don’t pay heed to those who don’t have first hand experience, they love to bash Fiat for no apparent reason.
i10 is definitely a notch above the Eon. It has better space, better interiors, stronger engine, better boot space etc. Of course this also means that the FE will be slightly lower and the price is definitely more than the Eon. Regards.
I10 anytime has a upper hand over Eon
i10 is way ahead of the Eon in almost all the ways
eon is an entry level from hyundai…..better go for i10 a pretty good handler.

this article might help : http://www.cartoq.com/driving-tips-for-city-driving-in-slow-traffic/
Hi Amitosh, as Singlanhn mentioned, that article should help you somewhat. Rest depends upon practice. Remember, the way we cannot learn swimming or cycling by reading theory, it is similar story for driving cars. It is all about confidence, judgment and patience and these characteristics increase over the period. As a beginner, you need to follow…[Read more]
Hi Amitosh, First good to hear such question on forum . most of the people shy to ask this. i liked the question. 1) Clutch and break concept is very simple. Depending on the situation lets say you are uphill use the break and release the clutch till the extend u feel car has come to a state that it can run by its own without providing much power…[Read more]

its the punto with the widest 195 and the biggest r15 alloys..
Punto
If you understand this – 88H 195/60 R15 6.5J on the Punto. Would be happy to stand corrected if any other hatch gets a better combination of alloys and rubber. Regards.
Punto is the winner here
@amit sir what is 88h in the tire size?
88 – Load rating – 560 kg per tire and H – Speed rating – 210 kph.
What about i20 crdi Asta
Swift/Ritz/Dzire ??
They use a max of 185 section tire and 5.5J alloy, unsure about the speed and load rating but it may be lower or equal to 88H.
@amit sir what does 5.5j or 6.5j refers to?
Width of the alloy in inches – In simple words the Punto gets 6.5 inch wide alloys where others are using 5.5 inch wide alloys, just another example of cost cutting. Lower speed and load rating also reduce the price of the tire for the manufacturer. Which buyer goes to check these things? People usually discuss other features and forget that tires…[Read more]
Surely wider alloy/tire gets a good grip on the road, but on the other hand it will reduce the Fuel efficiency and puts lot more load to the engine when in motion.
Unfortunately it is true only if the vehicle is horribly over-tired otherwise such a tire profile is better for traction. A quick physics recall may make you realize that the contact patch remains the same since P=F/A, its more about the tire compound and tread pattern that makes more of a difference. A vehicles behavior is more influenced by the…[Read more]
We can’t say if the Abarth Essesse will come to India, in all likelihood though it won’t
Secondly there is no such problem on the Punto which I have heard about, I have a Linea which is essentially the same build quality and no water seeps into the car. The test car being reviewed may have had some issues, can’t say for sure but rest assured…[Read more]
Hahaha .. I too saw the same video .. if not wrong it is from “fith gear” don’t worry that’s not true
. I am using Punto for around now 3 yrs and never face this issue. And abarth is the race addition to the fiat family and that is not expected from it. May be they don’t like Italian’s
.
I just bought Punto Emotion D, that was my worry. Now I am good. Thanks Rishabh & Afzal.
Congrats on the New car Buddy and no worries they wont make it in Indian Car Scene anytime soon.Do Properly Run-in your car.Regards…
You get a rough and tough vehicle that is big, imposing and very spacious and comfortable. The engine is strong and the efficiency is what it should be. It is quite good to drive and the interiors are of high quality. The Storme checks most of the boxes, and quite comprehensively. Alternatives? An improved and updated XUV will soon hit the market.…[Read more]
I know Coorg pretty well and the Storme should do well on those roads, however, keep in mind that there are a lot of roads/trails in Coorg which are narrow and the Storme’s width could pose a problem there. Take a detailed test drive on the kind of roads you would drive and then decide.
Undoubtedly Safari is a muscle car with good amount of space, as far as offroading is concern it ticks all the boxes. Apart from that the new look is a downside for me (again everyone has a different taste). But overall its a brilliant car and worth buying.
There are couple of them in line .. fiat punto, VW POLO, Figo, Honda City, Linea etc. If you can elaborate your question more as in in what class you are looking for then the answer can be specific
Depends on the segment you are looking at. The best in the world is the Rolls Royce Phantom.
Thanks a lot Afzal & Devdath, i am looking forward for ford figo, swift, polo, vista, punto & ritz. Wanted to know which among them have better suspensions….like the punto has independent suspensions
At city speeds and average highway speeds less than 100kmph, the Vista is a very supple and comfortable car. However, if you like to drive and corner fast, the Punto and the Polo win. If I were you, I d pick the Punto for its amazing suspension and ride quality.
Among the hatchbacks, the Punto has the best suspension setup, undoubtedly.
Yes i agree with Shreyans Punto has the best suspensions
buying a used esteem will leads to head aches….i wud suggest u to go for MS Alto… d Alto will be d newest amng des cars rytt… dn in tems f reliability, durability n A.S.S, u can bliv Alto…..
For sure Esteem has better driving pleasure..Esteem spares should not be hard to scout..Depends on the mileage quotient.. Esteem 8-12 in city ( old/new) to Alto 13-17 in city.
The Alto will be cheap to run, cheap to service, any replacement parts like tires, battery or spares should be cheaper than the other two. Easier to park, better to drive on congested roads and can do all the highway running if a driver is gentle enough. I have done a Pune Bangalore (~ 850 kms) non stop run (except for fuel) with friends rotating…[Read more]
Alto is a proven horse you can take your chances on that, it is cheap to run, manage and maintain. If you looking to stretch your budget a bit then you can think of santro or most reliable car the Swift.
You would get a newer Alto in your budget, and maintenance costs are quite low.
Lucky You Amit! Nice Review
Actually, I am always interested in finding out about the cars before their launch. You just gave the positive and right information about this one. Again good work
Amit your presentation is good and the car is a awesome one with great features at best price… well done TATA wish you all the best…
I was suppose to buy Scorpio…and also asked everybody…for Scorpio LX 4×4..I didn’t like the new Scorpio…cause CRDe is amazing combi with scorpio..bt it’s no more…available…maybe I was watining for the storme…thank you for the amazing..review…
man TATA is playing the waiting game ……………….. is this the silence before the “Storme” ………
The vehicle had a permanent registration number meaning it has passed all the necessary ARAI, CMVR etc tests and is road ready. Pitting against the Scorpio it feels a lot more premium. Just like the difference in a Tavera and an Innova. The Scorpio though has an edge in seating options with the third row bench available whereas the Safari is…[Read more]
Hi Amit,
Hi Amit,
I have been living near the tata plant in pune for many years, and had seen the Aria and the storme being tested, and mostly coming to fuel up at the fueling station right outside the plant for many months. I never thought of approaching one of the employees for a test drive.
I appreciate the effort taken by you to follow the car, and…[Read more]
kya baat hai amit ji, very nice article .with ur presence of mind u noticed all things very sharply, keep it up. its nice to hear that safari has improved a lot, now we got a real competitor for xuv
A very Good Review Amit. The Storme is way ahead of Scorpio in looks. The real competition is the XUV500.
SAFARI R.I.P. BOLERO!!
I just hope this vehicle is launched without anuy glitches
Wallah .. Nice article buddy ..
