Swift and Swift dzire shares the same engine (DDis 74bhp), Polo uses Tdi engine and i20 use Crdi engine (90HP). Crdi has the best refinement in the segment, Highest Power/Torque, Good FE and easy to maintain than the swift/polo.
@ashu varma the diesel engines which these cars are using are running on the same technology common rail direct injection..the difference between them are turbochargers, displacement and no. cylinders
The i20′s engine is the most powerful and the most refined. Polo has the better suspension. Maintenance costs are similar for all 3.
The i20 CRDi has got the most powerful diesel engine and it is quite spacious and segment leader when it comes to features, fit and finish; The Swift DDiS is very agile and fun to drive of the lot; The DZire DDiS has got softer suspension than the Swift and therefore it has got better ride quality for day-to-day needs; The Polo TDI has got…[Read more]
It is a bit complicated to just compare engines, especially when the figure on paper is at the flywheel, an engine component that you may not even see in years of ownership of the vehicle. Also there are many other components which give a vehicle different characteristic behaviors such as suspension components, steering components, chassis…[Read more]
So basically you are asking which is better the swift or i20 right? I say i20 because it has way better feature list than the swift(or in your case dzire)even though swift has a edge over the i20 when it comes to performance, but I think the new i20 looks better than swift, even when it comes to cabin space i20 is better, but i20 is a bit more expensive.
Other members have already replied on the similar post below but regarding boot factor as well – the 20 is more spacious and practical. Let us not forget, it has got seat folding feature and that also includes 60:40 split seats.
i20 rocks..!!
Yes Dave i realised it after i wrote the comment…….
In that segment, the cars to go for are the City AT and the Fiesta AT. Oh yes, the Ecosport AT will soon join that list. Reliable, trouble free vehicles, and the best ATs in that price range
Yes… and regarding servicing – you can get it done anywhere in India.
You can visit your nearest authorized service station whichever is convenient.
Yes.. As Shreyans sir has said that City AT and Fiesta AT will be much more reliable than the Skoda Rapid AT
Swift VDi for better interior space and comfort..features and price..
Polo comfortline for better boot space, looks….
The Swift L and V models get a ‘do not buy’ rating from me for their unacceptably weak brakes.
I always recommend people to go for the top end variants for the sake of the safety kit, in which case I would ask you to raise the budget else look at the Ritz / Figo / Vista. Regards.
Completely agree with others here. When you are buying something for yourself and for your family by spending Lakhs of Rupees, why to ignore basic safety option and compromise with life-saving features like – ABS, EBD, BA, Air-bags, etc.
and all these so called life saving feature fail when there is actual need!!!! mainly airbags!!!
Advantage Figo Titanium (P): rear leg room, Bluetooth connectivity, boot space and superb driving dynamics. Advantage Ritz ZXi: Adjustable head rests at rear, 60:40 split seat, rear power windows, better engine, better fuel economy and easy ingress / egress due to tall boy structure. My choice – Ritz ZXi.
I too was going through similar confusions prior finally settling on Maruti Ritz Zxi, I searched all important sites, including cartoq and later i found ritz much better for me than Figo Petrol, Plus point with Ritz Zxi is : 1. comfortable ingress and outgress 2. Great mileage 3. Great KB series engine under its hood 4. Great After sales service…[Read more]
I completely agree with @Dave Jose..
He has given the perfect advantages of both the cars..
Though Ritz would be a better choice
I will suggest the Ritz over the Figo petrol
There are so many diesel sedans out there around ~10L price bracket: Indigo eCS, Verito, Manza, Sunny, Scala, Etios, Classic, Sail, DZire, Amaze, SX4, Linea, Fiesta and Verna. I would suggest you to buy the Verna CRDi (either 1.6 or 1.4) because you want a premium luxury car. As an alternate, you can select either Classic by Ford or the SX4. FYI:…[Read more]
Thanks… And sir what about new toyota etios.??
diesel sedan no.1 choice verna, market numbers say n prove it, best look feel comfort drive mileage all in all very good package – go for it
Well, Etios is probably one of the most spacious car among the list I have mentioned above but it is not a feature-loaded or luxurious at all.
Go With Manza …powerfull Spacious Most Feature Rich
The MAnza ………………………………………..
you should give skoda rapid a try before making any final decision, will definitely forget all the other cars in this segment..
My top pick would be the SX4, decent luxury with leather seats space, decent feature though not a huge list like the Verna, poor resale value but that is something nobody can guarantee and is highly dynamic, decent build quality unlike typical Marutis which have lost of cost cutting, most important thing being the huge discount running on it.…[Read more]
If its features that you are looking for then the Verna still has the most number of features in it. Resale value of Hyundai cars is also fairly good.
i’ll suggest go for verna…..
i would say go for the manza or suny top end
Thanks All,,, Thanks Alot.. For give me all your valuable help and support… ok i will go to hundai showroom in next 2-3 days and give a test drive of fludic verna. with my family … thankss again my all friends…
@aradhya tiwari if u drive enthusiatically and speed lover then verna is not for..
but then also go for a test drive
You are welcome Aradhya. As Gaurav mentioned, there are two more cars ( somehow I forgot to mention!
) – Rapid and Vento… However, none of these cars have features as compare to Verna… so… all the best!
thanks again dave, and sartak what problem face in verna in high speed???
You are welcome. Regarding Sarthak’s comments – he is correct but this is really not (at all) a deal-breaker in your case. It is just that most of the Hyundai cars possess lighter steering feedback across all speeds (good to have in city but makes drivers a little bit nervous during sudden / sharp turns on high speeds). This is an area where Ford…[Read more]
Thanks sir dave.. thankss again…
Hmm… The only concern I see here is the year of manufacturing. The car is more than 5 years old. However.this really sounds a good deal to me if everything is genuine and the car is niggle-free / accident-free.
11,000 km? Petrol Innova. It will be a good buy. Pick it up if it has a proper service history. Some checks: http://www.cartoq.com/buyers%E2%80%99-checklist-for-used-toyota-innova/
this article might help : http://www.cartoq.com/driving-tips-for-city-driving-in-slow-traffic/
Hi Amitosh, as Singlanhn mentioned, that article should help you somewhat. Rest depends upon practice. Remember, the way we cannot learn swimming or cycling by reading theory, it is similar story for driving cars. It is all about confidence, judgment and patience and these characteristics increase over the period. As a beginner, you need to follow…[Read more]
Hi Amitosh, First good to hear such question on forum . most of the people shy to ask this. i liked the question. 1) Clutch and break concept is very simple. Depending on the situation lets say you are uphill use the break and release the clutch till the extend u feel car has come to a state that it can run by its own without providing much power…[Read more]
Hyundai i20 will easily accommodate five members and it has got bigger boot as well. The only problem I see is – the variant you have selected is not having two airbags. Having said that, your daily run is hardly around 20 KMs so the i20 Sportz petrol would be the natural choice as per my opinion.
As per reviews on net, i20 petrol is not as its diesel variants. So, give second thought to it.
Budget is not constrain then defiantly i20 is better
I 20 Petrol is better than Swift if you are interested in more features then surely go for it. There is one more option in I20 i,e Sporz Automatic…if you Stretch budget then there is Asta with Six airbag & Sunroof option…..Choose Yours
Just tell him to wait till ecosport starts getting booked and there in DEMO. You can watch ECOSPORT video reviews and duster is too costly to buy with no goodies in offering.
When would be the vehicle visible in showrooms any idea about it
First week of June
One thing I would like to tell you is that the EcoSport is a sub-four meter vehicle and it’s interior space cannot match with the Duster, which is far, far more spacious. If the XUV 5oo is part of your short-listing then it would be the preferred choice because after all you can accommodate additional passengers as and when required.
Will give you a detailed comparison between the two later today. Then decide.
Here we go…! It would be one of the most awaited reviews of 2013.
