Deepak, there is no better car between the two – there is just the car that is ideal for each person. For example, Swift is the car with better ride and handling, however many people buy the i20 and prefer its feel (which Swift owners dislike). For economy, Swift is the better car while in space and luxury features, i20 is the better car. In…[Read more]
Agree with Mathew. Here’s a detailed comparison: http://www.cartoq.com/should-you-buy-the-maruti-suzuki-swift-or-hyundai-i20/
‘Best’ is a very ambiguous adjective while comparing two cars of same class. Say Car A has some features which car B may not have, or car B is better to drive and fuel efficient where as car A is more comfortable and more roomier. .etc. etc. So there is a never ending comparisons. At last you have to judge your own priorities and may be have to…[Read more]
Maruti Alto standard version is ruling its segments for decades. Where as K10 variant was introduced in 2010. As per sales figure, standard version of Alto is a success but if you think about short term perspective then K10 is a success too.
K10 is a powerful Alto and costs a bit more, so it is not as popular as the standard variant. But if you want Alto reliability and extra fun driving, the K10 is great. It is not a major sales hit or anything though.
Yes, you can convert the Maruti Alto Lxi to run on LPG. Get a good sequential kit. Lovato Autogas and BRC make kits compatible with the Alto.
18 -20 kms for Swift and 15- 16 for i20
Both the K12 and the 1.2 kappa 2 engines are very complicated and controlled by electronics. They have variable valve and train timing on their cams. So what this basically means is that, putting a CNG kit on cars with such complex engines is very difficult. The chip which controls the engine has to be slightly modified. If the fitting is not done…[Read more]
Hi Deepak, yes both cars are compatible to run on CNG. CNG, while being very good for the environment and to your pocket does impact the car’s performance negatively and your engine life too reduces by around 20%.
Hi Deepak, No these are not available as factory-fitted CNG cars. But you can get CNG fitment done at the dealer for these cars. A CNG kit will cost you about Rs. 50,000.
Thanks Roshun ji but can u tell me i20 and swift petrol i mean both petrol version is compatible for CNG KIT
Yes, CNG kits can be fitted in both. However, check with the dealer – because if you do it from outside, the warranty on your car will be void.
Petrol engines need clean air, clean fuel and clean spark plugs or any other source or ignition. As long as this is maintained, they will demand little else. So, learn to clean your air filter on your own once a fortnight, go to a reputed petrol pump to refill, do NOT drive the car with very less fuel in the tank which can cause the impurities to…[Read more]
sir can u tell me i20 and swift model come on cng variant
Factory fitted CNG kit are not available on these cars. You can fit them from any authorised dealer or the company itself. New Swift has small boot may be a problem in that, but the i20 is good for that.
The Hyundai i20 has a bit of a premium pricing compared to the Swift. But it also has more features. Still I’d say the Swift is more value for money as it has a good enough feature list and is priced relatively cheaper.
Swift is more value for money. Better mileage, good power, and Maruti service network’s peace of mind. i20 comes close in value, but its not meant to give us value – its features and higher pricing with the i20.
Go for i20 if you need good looks, more rear/boot space….I didn’t go for any extra feature for i20 but paid 40K extra for i20 magna which is more or less has same features as compared to swift Vdi model…my decision was due to more space and better look otherwise swift is for sure VFM and even Figo is
Swift is better value for money than the i20 mainly because of the pricing. And i’d like to suggest one more value for money, Nissan Micra. Lots of accessories you get at lower price.
Swift. And if you’re a more of driving enthusiast, oh boy you’ll find loads of VFM in Swift
VFM is definitely Swift but you see so Swift/ Dzire , you feel bore . i 20 is loaded with features and i agree with Kunal for Micra . Nissan is introducing strip down verson soon which is very good car to drive.
Though you will pay premium price for i20 but at same time you will et better product. Go for i20
If you are looking for ultra cheap maintenance costs, and like the looks, it is the Swift, else the i20 is and makes you feel premium, inside out. The Swift handles better but the i20s ride is plusher. On the FE front, the Swift has the edge but the i20 is built very good. Take your call.
both cars have diff characteristics. the swift is for an enthusiastic driver, for whom space is not that important. Plus the swift will be 1 lakh cheaper than i20 and fuel efficiency and maintenance will be cheaper. But the i20 is bigger, more comfortable, has more feature, more safety features and has a more powerful engine (6 gears so better).…[Read more]
If you want more driving pleasure, then definitely swift is the best option. But if you want more features, boot space, legroom, then it is i20. As both cars have a refreshed look now, u might get confused. Rest is your Outlook.
