Sunny or Scala would be a better choice as thet have more legroom for the back seats.
Agree, Sunny or Scala for back-seat comfort and a mid-sized sedan priced well for the features and comfort. Otherwise the Verito and Dzire are good options.
Sunny or Scala make for good chauffeur driven cars. I would personally prefer the Manza over the Verito as it feels a lot plusher on the inside and has more equipment too. I would rate its back seat to be overall better as well. Not the Dzire, it is cramped at the back, especially when compared with the other cars listed here.
Ah yes, I almost forgot the Manza and completely forgot the cramped rear seats of the Dzire. The Manza is an excellent option, I have traveled in the rear seat of the Manza and it is comfortable and plush however, looks are a let down for some.
if u want 3 persons to be seated at back seat, go for Verito because it has widest rear seat of 141cm.. manza having 137cm & sunny around 130cm… Second point is Verito has flat(but comfortable) seat which is more comfortable for middle person.. i m having Logan (which is now Verito).. it’s not fun to drive but it’s the the most comfortable…[Read more]
since you want a entry level sedan , the only car that provides the best chauffer driven experience is the new verito its an excellent comfortable car , the suspension setup is also good which swallows all small bumps thrown to it . go for the verito .
MANZA is totally value for money specially in the new club class avatar, the rear seats are the most comfortable even if you compare it with cars 3 times as expensive, the diesel is the preferred engine choice but the petrol is not too bad either. Do not forget to take the extended warranty pack and total body coatings such as teflon and anti…[Read more]
Thanks Everyone; I took a test drive of the Verito on Sunday (10 kms); the following are my observations: 1. The clutch was light (very light!!), very close to that of my swift VXI (yes…[Read more]
Since u want an entry level sedan and ur main priorty is space, fuel efficiency go with the toyota etios. gr88 for it’s looks 3people can sit easily at the rear seat nd it offers maximum boot space of 595litre in sedans
considering what safari offered previously its definitely much awaited launch which should have been introduced way back before , yes its the same engine as before but much more drivable now , with all new chassis acquired from aria , good quality interiors and a more powerful 2.2 ltr engine so yes you can definitely make your decision in its favour.
Naman, have you seen our review of the Storme? take a look http://www.cartoq.com/expertvoice/tata-safari-storme-road-test-and-review/ @devdath tested the Safari, so he will be able to give you good answers, lets hope he comes in soon!
@Naman, Though reliability is something which can be tested only after prolonged usage, going by the amount of technical effort Tata have put in the Storme, I feel it should be a reliable vehicle. Also, Tata have given it a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000kms extendable to one more year/50,000 kms. This speaks for the confidence they have…[Read more]
well i haven’t noticed such difference of higher pressure at the time of delivery, as for your question it is advised to inflate tyres with recommended pressure as lowering the pressure will reduce the mileage and too high will bring stability concerns , however it is advised to hike a 2psi pressure for all tyres above recommended pressure if you…[Read more]
Just keep it at the recommended pressure and you will be fine. Don’t go above or below, unless for specific reasons (higher for load carrying, fuel economy, lower for more comfort, better grip). In any case don’t deviate more than 2psi either way.
i think you should better get your to the service station and complain about the issue.Being a new car it should not make such noise.Get the vipers replaced.
Wipers go bad pretty fast in places with high temperatures. I hope it already has not got ruined in Chennai heat earlier.. all you need is the edges to melt a fraction of a millimeter and the sound would start…
First light issue now wiper ?? Yeh Ertiga hai bhai dekho aage aur kya dikhati hai…
@Anupam But I am very happy with my Ertiga. Some minor niggles are there in all the cars.
sabha do you use a glass cleaner, if yes mention it as some detergents effect glass and removes smoothness , secondly if not than closely inspect wiper blades and look for any un evenness of the rubbers if even it is good than visit service center and complain and see what they have to say on replacing wiper blades .
Sabha just joking.. My first three cars were from Maruti only but when i drove Accent then i came to know the quality of other brand and now Nissan . There are other brands which are offering much better cars… I am ex termly satisfied customer for Nissan Sunny. By the way what millage you are getting for Ertiga?
@Anupam I have been driving only in city. and i have not calculated exactly. But getting some were close to 13kmper liter. Just driven about 650kms.
Sabha, did you recently get your car wax polished or coated? Sometimes in the rains, a thin wax coating drips over the windscreen and causes the wipers to become noisy.
Sabha thx I am getting 18+ for Sunny D in City with AC on … NO service yet driven 7200 kms..
@Roshun Yes.. I did car wax polished. Will it go off with time? Or what should I do? I examined the wipers and they are good and new.
@Anupam I have not noted down the km in the odo at the time of filling. Just done 2 fillings. I think it will give close to 15kmper liter. (I shall confirm the mileage to you after may be 2500kms) But in any case I feel it wont give 18+km per liter in city. I knew the mileage before buying Ertiga. I bought it because of Practicality it offers at…[Read more]
Ah, that’s a probable cause for the noise. Shampoo the windscreen only nicely (or use Colin on the glass only) and also with a wet cloth and soap solution, clean the wiper blades, the noise will go away. Nothing to be worried about
Swift z,
of course Zxi extra features overwhelm cost you pay
zxi is a value for money option which includes ABS, airbags, 15inch alloy wheel , auto climate control AC , height adjustable driver seat, high end music system with speed sensing volume control , outside temperature display and steering mounted audio control .
How much will you drive? If not over 1000 km a month, a petrol car would suit you. Since it’s your first car – I would go with one that has low maintenance cost – and here is where Maruti cars have an advantage. The Ritz VXI would be a good choice if your budget suits it, else take the Wagon R VXI with option pack (ABS and airbags), as it gives…[Read more]
among your choice of reliability and mileage nothing beats maruti cars till date , so narrowing down your list you are left with wagaon R and ritz vxi , my choice will be a wagon R vxi its an excellent package and serves your purpose of city driving extremely well, so go for wagon R .
Thanx Roshunji and Gourav for narrowing my choice. I will think between Ritz and Wagon R, Ritz is having space and power but its look is not good enough. So I will decide in between them. Thanx once again and try to give me more information about them…
Between the Ritz and the WagonR, I’d say go with the WagonR. It’s an easier car to drive for a beginner, and yes, I agree with you the Ritz had really wierd looks. Go with the top end WagonR rather than a mid variant of Ritz.
Ajay, This is a tough one, First Car
. Well, Is Swift in your Radar yet? ( forget the mileage issue, it is pretty good for a car of its size). Buy the Swift for all its worth. and if running costs are the only concern, then nothing beats Wagon R.
swift a better choice
If you are on a tight budget and want space and features, then Figo. But if you want more power and a sporty ride, Swift.
both are good cars and are selling in good numbers , so if space and low cost is your choice figo is good and for more fun to drive vehicle stick to swift .
Manza for space and comfort. Dzire for driving feel and handling.
indigo manza offers very good rear leg room and bootspace (prime reason to shift to a sedan) , on the other hand dzire has less legroom and bootspace but nothing beats the quality interiors , performance and a good car to drive , so if space manza for performance dzire.
the better option is Discover-100 Dts-si 5-gears of the two in this segment because its giving me 71kpl in the city itself
first of all there aren’t any biking questions out here , so welcome , for your question dream yuga is most definitely better compared to splendor it rides better and has sufficient power which sometimes gets missing on the splendor , dream yuga comes with a technology where engine varies power output depending on the ride and driving conditions .
Under 1 lakh or may be around 1.10-1.20 lakh.
considering that the car is 6 years old 1.5 lakh rs is the price for an excellent condition car, also if you are planning to buy a new car you can get exchange bonus and lot more of deals on new car specially considering the festive season has started .
