Better to learn with an 2nd hand Alto Santro etc. Buy a second hand car which you can sell easily. Then after the driver gets the confidence they can buy any car they like.
If the budget is minimal and the person is a learner, its best to pick the cheapest used Maruti or Hyundai. I would say the M800 will be the best option here, since you stand to lose very less money in buying and later selling it after an year or two.
Yeah buy second hand cars as Sabna suggested,or go for second hand wagon R.
buy second hand santro car .this is best for that person.
buy a used car first.
i would suggest u..to convine him till 3 lakhs…or bit less…
not the good deal
I tried to convince him for 3lac or below but instead of lowering the price he is providing me with the insurence, transfer and 6 month warrenty+ some accesories…please suggest
suggest me what could be the best price for this deal
Pretty much that is a good price. But still try for a cut if you can… Online, I can see similar prices for i10.
See more than 3 lakh is not worth for this car..even if its running is 33500…i guess new is about 350000..base model…i’ll prefer u not o accept the proposal..next its yr choice..:)
Where are you based out of? A bit overpriced by Delhi standards. Is that dealer authorized in some way? Why don’t you go to Authorized re sellers like Mahindra first choice. You get a good vehicle and years warranty and peace of mind too. I think you can get a similarly spec. car at around the same price. Check this http://www.mahindrafirstchoice.com
@himanshu sagar: ya its from Mahindra first choice only, and they are providing 6 months/7500 km warrenty. Though i even think that its overpriced acc. to Delhi, but still thats the market of i10 wht to do???
Lavesh, pay the extra money and buy peace of mind with the car
Cheers! and enjoy your ride
Gurcharan, K&N air filters essentially increase the flow of air into your engine and help in better performance. They primary help you bump up power by 1 or 2 Bhps, however they have been known to increase mileage too. However, the fact that you have extra power may tempt you to drive in a more enthusiastic manner and the mileage doesn’t really…[Read more]
Thanks..sir i’ll surely go for the power side..:p
Sometimes a very minor leakage causes a problem..Get your radiator rechecked. The cap of radiator also has a rubber inside, see if it is uncut. See if the fan is correctly spinning on exact time..when car heats up..
No, you wont get it easily in any shop, but you can buy it online from amazon or ebay. Auto-sock is itself a cheap solution for snow covered roads. These actually do help improve traction on snow covered roads. Snow socks are itself a cheap alternative to the Snow Chains which are costlier and their installation is a tough task.
Sir are these reusable..? and are they useful for front wheel drive cars..??
Yeah… definitely it is re-usable,but since it is made up of fabric, its life is too short. And yes, it is mostly used in FWD cars but you can also use it on AWD cars. Its available in pairs.

If the scratch is too deep than you have to spend in paintshop… Or Try this, this will makeup scratches to much extent: http://www.naaptol.com/car-utilities/car-scratch-remover-kit/P/12177324.html#product_Details
Not really. ComPaint promises to be a solution but the shade is not guaranteed to match with your car. Minor scratches can be dealt with by a rubbing exercise but for deep scratches you either ignore them or have the entire panel repainted. A mid way solution is that you take your car to the service station and ask them to touch up. They’l use the…[Read more]

Well, if can afford the Swift, go for it.
Wrote this for someone else too – Figo for the space (check with 4 large adults), service costs (check new buyers of both cars), usable features (bluetooth, rear split seat are just absent in the Swift), cheaper price tag, more driveable due to very less turbo lag. Swift for the stronger engine (more so with increasing speeds), better driving…[Read more]
go for figo titanium!!!
I wrote this before..
Go for figo titanium. Reasons = Less costly, more features, better handling, lots of space, boot space is almost double than swift, better comfort, low servicing cost, less waiting period, most value for money hatch. Swift Vdi = Most over rated car, looong waiting period, short list of features, more costly, servicing cost…[Read more]
Drop both options i will say that go for i-20 Asta. Swift is not much spacious but has reliability of Maruti whereas Figo also suffers the same lack of features and lack of space. Also both have simple interiors not much attractive. You can go for i-20 full of features, space and good looks. Also Hyundai reliability is good. Choice is yours. Go for…[Read more]
Go fo Figo. i myself purchased Figo zxi diesel 3 weeks back. swift is the most over rated car in india. swift poorest seating ergonomics both at front and rear seats. in swift at front seat u will feel like if your back is being pulled back and it hurts. no legroom is swift. boot space even less than my old zen. your head will bang with roof edge…[Read more]
both are poor. either go for punto 90hp or i20 asta. TD both of them and which suits your style of driving pay and pick it from showroom.
i20 has no highway dynamics and you will be scared to take this car to even 90-100 km/hr bcz of its buttersoft steering.secondly if u have family then your family will be uncomfortable at rear seats. firstly bcz i20 seats are very low in height. rear seat thigh support is not good. rear seat back is too straight which is against the seating…[Read more]
@Ishmeet – Article on Jan 10, 2012 (yesterday) should keep worries regarding Fiat at bay. Regards.
nice to hear that amit anyway Fiat has long road to go but Fiat has always considered indian market as weak. it seems the current marketing team of fiat is trying to rectify the mistakes which it did over the last decade. hope it does well in coming years
Swift is the best..! But apne dil ki suno..at the end ..u will go for that only which your heart says..!
If u want comfort, with a toyota’s reliable engine..Cool..! But interior sux..!
In petrol a very good car. Space, mileage and reliability are the pros. The diesel version has less power but again a very good family car. Less maintenance and high resale.
