MapMyIndia’s ZX250 is a standalone navigator device, that has inputs for reverse camera, and takes Bluetooth phone connectivity. It’s a cost effective solution if you want aftermarket navigation and better than installing expensive in-dash AVN systems. If your car doesn’t have Bluetooth / reverse camera – this is one option to think of.
Thanks Roshun…yes I am planning to buy Rapid Elegance and it does not have a bluetooth and reverse camera option..I planning to install in when I purchase the vehicle..The price offered for this is Rs.20000..Any idea about its reliability/efficiency and post acquisition costs (map updates, etc)?
Additional info..the model planned is Elegance Plus
Yes its a Right choice , because Vento AT is priced 1lac more than Rapid AT and Skoda Rapid has Awesome looks.
good choice… (y)

I hope you have considered the City AT and the Fiesta AT. Both of them are a lot nicer to drive and to own. And more efficient as well.
City if New Fiesta is too experimental for you….both these are much better in petrol and best in terms of automatic. Stay away from VW or Skoda for Petrol. You can even look at newly launched scala automatic….still my vote is first two Fiesta or City (if conservative).
Thanks Shreyans and Rohit. City was a choice..but its bit expensive and some of the features like auto climatic control are missing…also the dealer is giving me a discount of about Rs.95K (for a 2012 model-dont think its going to make much of difference?)+ corporate discount of Rs.7k..the on-road price is coming to about Rs9.55 lacs..any views??…[Read more]
Additionally since my current run is hardly 20kms a day so diesel didnt make sense?
Diesel makes no sense for you. FE, Rapid/Vento give 9-10kmpl in city; its as much as 12-13kmpl with both the Ford and Honda. 2012 make is not really an issue, provided its a late 2012 model. You should read the VIN to confirm the same. Rapid AT does come as a fantastic VFM proposition given its price; its just that both the City and Fiesta are…[Read more]
Thanks Shreyans. Yes, the one thing I have been hearing is the A.S.S and costs of Skoda is not too good and expensive..By your (& Rohit’s) inputs it seems Fiesta AT (Titanium+) is better (other than HC – the low clearance is a challenge in Delhi)…the only thing is Skoda looks a more solid built car in the category…but thanks…let me TD Fiest…[Read more]
Just checked the features of Fiesta Titanium+ AT and does seem more than Skoda AT but one sore thing I noticed is the ground clearance is lower than the New City (160mm) at 156mm…with the way the delhi roads and speed breakers are I am getting a bit wary of this? How is the A.S.S. and maintenance cost of Fiesta cars?
Dont worry about the GC of the Fiesta. The car has short overhangs and the suspension is perfectly set up. It does not ground so easily. Ford’s ASS and maintenance are not the industry benchmark, but still are acceptably good. A regular 10k km service should cost no more than 3500. Ford’s AT gearbox is sealed and comes with a 10year/240000km…[Read more]
Thank you so much Shreyans. Yes, in terms of interiors, finishing and looks I feel Skoda is really good and probably that is sort of driving my heart to it…when you say Skoda Rapid AT is VFM would you recommend if I dont get the fiesta at that price? (not sure whether a faridabad dealer would be able to give a Delhi Reg. No.?)..i heard with 4…[Read more]
All Delhi, Faridabad, Noida and Gurgaon dealers are well equipped to get cars registered at the required places. Registration is an absolute non issue. A cousin has a diesel Rapid and that car for sure becomes a handful over speed breakers with 4 on board or luggage in the boot. As for the Fiesta, no reports or reviews suggesting that. I say you…[Read more]
Thanks Shreyans..yes let me TD the fiesta n Honda city (as have TD Rapid AT yest) and also check the prices of these and see if it is upto to my stretch
