Of the cars you’ve mentioned, the Figo has most interior space, the Beat diesel has the most fuel efficiency. All have more or less the same features – Figo and Beat probably a little more than the other two. Overall, value for money, Figo – more car per car.
Hi Roshun, Thanks for the update. I was also confused between Beat & Figo -Diesels. Beat is 1 trim cheaper but a bit cramped on rear. So for Space & ride its Figo and mileage and cost wise it will be Beat. Is that correct?
You have the wagonr CNG in your list
That is the cheapest for daily running, and probably the most economical overall. if you do not count it, then Beat diesel will win for its very high fuel economy figures, and GM’s free 3 year maintenance service package.
Go for Figo for its space and ride…yes..Figo has lesser milage but not that bad..Don’t forget to check resale value of both
In my opinion, if you have good CNG availability in your city, there is nothing that can beat the Wagon R CNG for running costs. One of my friends is using it daily and it goes about 24 kms in 1kg CNG (worth Rs.39/-). This is the mileage in Pune with pretty heavy traffic (almost bumper to bumper in office timings that he uses it). Bear in mind…[Read more]
Ritz is better than Figo in everything other than features, but the new model rolling out soon will have it all covered. And agree with Amit here with the choice for best economic i.e. Wagon R CNG.
Ankit , I agree with Roshun. Buy Figo if you want the best possible use of your money(Apart from being the best drivers car of this list), then comes Beat diesel. Now if CNG is around, WagonR will give you the cheapest way to go around town. Ritz diesel is the cheapest diesel Maruti though.
Figo is best buy
Of all, ford figo is the best value-for-money car, has better ride quality than any other. Although, the mileage regarding figo is an economical issue, you can go for figo.
if you want space, comfort…go for figo….n for superb drive experience n enjoyment…. go for beat…. i own a figo n my uncle a beat….. so have handy experiance on both of them.
i think WagonR is the best car .. because it gives u a superb milaege, less mentainaece as maruti’s car .. and fine interior…. and it is cheapest..

@Tejas Ponkshe , that’s right – Beat for mileage. Figo for overall space, ride and handling. Features are more or less equal.
hey thanks. that solves a big Question for me. Now I know what to buy
Even if fuel prices are equal – diesel cars are more fuel efficient inherently. Between the Figo Titanium Diesel and petrol, I’d suggest the Figo diesel because it feels better to drive. It is fuel efficient (16-17 kmpl in city, 20 kmpl on highways). Maintenance costs are relatively low, not as low as Maruti, but not expensive either. It will fit…[Read more]
i think go for petrol version bcoz its but obvious to recover 1 lakh rs nd the rate of intrest of 1 lakh rupees it will take near 6 years to you nd the maintenance in diesel car is high wear nd tear is also high so i think petrol will be best. engine is smooth fun to drive
I would seriously look at Ford Figo diesel. Diesel price advantage, superior diesel engine technology (low maintenance, higher FE, smoother), good grunt and resale value of diesels are the factors which would sway me. Go for it right away before the diesel cess hits you and the car will also hold its resale value as and when the cess is imposed !
Nitin, are you buying the car on loan? If yes, what %? You can also use the diesel decider app http://www.cartoq.com/diesel-decider to compare petrol and diesel versions.
Babychen Mathew ….I Checked the DD app,it says if my run is within 700 then go for petrol….else above 700 go with Diesel.I am not taking any loan for this Car.
Nitin, that is a good answer by DD. When there is no loan and running is below 1000 km, usually the answer is always petrol. At least we know some factors about petrol – that prices will keep inching up! Figo petrol is a practical car – many prefer the Figo diesel for its extra torque compared to petrol. If that is not very interesting for you,…[Read more]
You should definitely take test drives of both petrol and diesel variants. You may instantly like the feel of the diesel car. On the other hand, the less powerful petrol might feel quite alright too. Better to drive both one after the other and see.
I test drove the Figo Diesel 4 times, and Booked the Swift
i would suggest you to go by petrol…. as ur monthly running is very low. diesel is strictly for long runners…..
