The Ertiga if you want flexibility, the Verna if you want features, the Sunny if you want a sedan with amazing rear seat space and comfort and the Rapid if you want a small fun to drive sedan.

City for driving pleasure. Verna for features and more comfort. verna’s rear seat is not liked by some people, so you have to test it out for yourself. Some do not think the City has enough ground clearance. Again, this is depending on driving style, so you have to test this and see.

the petrol should be good for monthly running. The Ertiga is an excellent mini MPV (Light Utility Vehicle – as they call it) for a young family. due to its size it is very easy to use in the city and easy to park inspite of spacious interiors. and as it is based on the swift its drives and feels like a car. truly best of both worlds. but it lacks…[Read more]

If you are only doing 25-30 kms a day then Petrol should be good enough for you. The Ertiga is a good option, it is spacious comfortable, handles well and is also affordable. However do not think of it as a full fledged MPV it is actually a Mini MPV and as a five seater it is great, as a seven seater it lacks luggage space!

Kanav i have taken test drive for all three . The choice is Sunny. It is value for money , maintenance is low , faster delivery. Maruti Ertiga is good car but they are taking 9- 10 months for top model. If you have patience then go for Ertiga. Verna is over priced by Rs. 1 lac atleast .

Kanav the Hyundai Verna is a reliable sedan with loads of features, though its rear seats aren’t very comfortable for long jounreys. The Ertiga is a value for money package and makes sense if you need the flexibility of having a seven seater. Though the Ertiga is more comfortable as a five seater with the last row of seats folded for luggage. The…[Read more]

Hi Kanav Behal, since your avg usage is 500 kms / month, a petrol car is sufficient. But for a budget of Rs. 8 lakh, you can either go for a hatchback or a sedan. Would like to know which car (body type) you are interested in

please specify requirements and priorities and your basic choices if u have thought of any. i think at 8 lakhs u would have considered a sedan over an hatchback. i’l give u a general list acc to my preferences – 1)Hyundai Verna 1.4, 2)Dzire ZXI, 3)Nissan Sunny , 4)VW Vento/Skoda Rapid (base model), 5)Ford Fiesta Classic.

Too many cars in that price range :) I assume you prefer petrol. And I guess at this price you want a sedan. So…. Sunny for space, Dzire for easy access to service and cheap spares, Verna for style. vento / Rapid for a good driving experience.
