For now, the CBR 250. If you can wait, the Kawasaki Ninja 300. The Ninja 300 is speculated to launch anytime between April and June this year. Walk into a dealership to know more.
ninja 300 would be expensive!!!!
This sounds like worn out axle bushes. Simple test: Find a wide and empty road and turn the car on full steering lock at a moderate speed. Do this both ways. If there is a constant “tak-tak-tak” sound then your mechanic is correct.
No sound i suppose … If in case .. Can welding be an alternative ?
Nope they have to be replaces, bushes are usually made out of rubber and welding axles isn’t really a good idea
Always try to adhere to the service manual. There is a chart which clearly specifies which area needs to be checked for certain kms of odo reading.
If I recall you have an Indica right? You need to keep a sharp eye at Tata service centers. Your budget would be about Rs. 4000 for a normal service. Oil change, filter change, fluid check up and top up. Also check: http://www.cartoq.com/5-ways-service-stations-cheat-you/
Thanks a lot !
Called tata service centre asking for 400/- as labour 600/- for cleanup and fluid and other charges extra… Or should i just contact some local mechanic ?

And which engine oil should i put ?
The deal is really tempting. Heavier bikes depreciates at very high rate. Their high cost of ownership and problems in servicing and spares are some of the reasons behind this. Dont forget to check the police record of the bike. Have a safe Ride…..
It sure is a very tempting deal but make sure all paperwork is in place and is absolutely clean. Claimed mileage is fair. But maintenance is going to be difficult and expensive
check all the details and go for it!!!!! and do give me the no of owner if in any case u r not buying it!!!!lolz
Check if the vehicle is clean on records the deal is really good ! Too good to belive !
Seems the gear oil seal is busted and gear oil is leaking. Do not drive the car unless its an absolute emergency. Have the leak looked into asap.
Sorry…its not while shifting gears, its when i put 1st gear and accelerate at high rpm … And can that leak be ac water leak bcoz it seems water like and is not oily
If its water, it can only be from 2 places: the radiator and its hoses, or the AC. If its the AC, water will drop every time you use it for some time and then park the car. You should not find water under your car when you drive off in the morning.
Yes exactly ! Today i drove without AC there was no water dipping after drive…thanks! Is it a matter of concern ? And is that sound because of car been not serviced ? Or bcoz of dust in oil /filter ? Car has been already driven 8000-9000 kms after last service
Water dripping from the AC after use is perfectly normal. We had an Indica DLS a few years back and we always changed the oils and filters every 5-6000km. Get the service done and see if the problem persists.
Writing own name in the no. plate in big font is illegal. However if the font size is small and is located in side area than it doesnt makes any difference.
It was written in bold letters … Nd it was a bmw on which i saw
I guess you have seen that in Channel V’s program ‘The Serial’
many of my friends are also fond of name written on high security (utsav) number plates, its simply illegal..
You may do it but we wont recommend it..
thanks..

HOW MUCH U HV DRIVEN THE CAR?
Almost 10K
Boss this should not happen. You car is well run in now. There are plenty of Sunny owners here and all of them report excellent efficiency. You checked the air pressure of the tires or tried shifting fuel stations? If things are right at your end and you’r confident you are driving well, you should have the car checked at another Nissan…[Read more]
16.1 km/l instead of 17 km/l is hardly a variation if there is a change in variables like tyre pressure, how far the air filter is clogged and where you have filled up your diesel from.
On last check up from nissan there was no problem in air filter…tyre pressure should be okay …today i drove in morning near about 70kms with speed varying from 60-140km i suppose …having no traffic ofcourse…I should now mail Nissan for sure…thanks
Just hold on. If you are driving at speeds of around 120 and thereabouts on the expressway, then 17kmpl seems pretty fair. Amin, you get 20kmpl if you drive at 80-100, not more.
* above 100 speed was for may be for 10kms hardly at bandra worli sea link rest 60-80/90
I think you should try some hypermiling techniques before you write to Nissan. Cos even if you drive at decent speeds, you can vary your FE by as much as 40-50% just by the way you use your ABC pedals and the gear. Do refer the link http://www.cartoq.com/hypermiling-techniques-how-to-extract-maximum-mileage-from-your-car/
Any variation of less than 10% (which is you case) is not alarming. With good driving techniques you can improve fuel efficiency before hitting the panic button for a 1 km/l efficiency drop.
I used to get 18-18.5 average earlier … After 1st service suddenly I was getting 17kmpl then i showed up my car to nissan service they did check up did computerized error removed …then I was getting 16.8>16.5>16.3>16.2>16.1 now … Pl also read my last question about the service experience …Thanks again
frequent use of clutch and accelerator in bumper to bumper city traffic is the main reason
u must hv calculated the avg wrong i guess
I also think there has been a lapse somewhere, perhaps in your calculation or perhaps at the fuel pump. You are getting very good figures on the highway and the car is known to give 17-18kmpl in city.
True Ravinder there must be some mistake , i agree on highway millage of 23 but 13 in City – worst condition traffic you wld get 16+ …
I am getting 16-16.6 in city with driving on 3rd gear and 4th once or twice…
yes 15 was the lowest I had heard, which city do you drive in ?
All you are might be right,i have taken the delivery just few days back, lets see after 1&2nd services, thanks………
I calculate 23 milage on delhi -agra-delhi via yamuna exp way and
13 in delhi .
Ravinder i also stay in Delhi n getting 18+ . i also got 23 millage in Yamuna express way…
Mr Anupam what would you advice in first service changing of engine oil at1000 km or not neccessary, what about synthectic oil?
I suggest you to change Engine oil to Synthetic Oil after first 1500 kms as by that time engine is settled..
